🚀 Master Your SQL Interview: Top 10 Questions Answered! 📊

Are you preparing for a Data Analytics role? SQL is the backbone of data manipulation, and mastering these common interview questions is your first step to landing that dream job! 💼

1️⃣ What is a JOIN in SQL?
A: A JOIN clause is used to combine rows from two or more tables based on a related column between them. It allows you to query data from multiple tables simultaneously.

2️⃣ Difference between WHERE and HAVING?
A: WHERE is used to filter records before any groupings are made. HAVING is used to filter values after an aggregation (like SUM or AVG) has been performed.

3️⃣ Explain the types of JOINs.
A: * Inner Join: Returns records with matching values in both tables.

Left Join: Returns all records from the left table and matched records from the right.

Right Join: Returns all records from the right table and matched records from the left.

Full Join: Returns all records when there is a match in either table.

4️⃣ What is a Subquery?
A: A subquery is a "query within a query." It is a nested query used to provide data to the main query to further restrict the data to be retrieved.

5️⃣ How do you handle duplicate rows?
A: You can use the DISTINCT keyword in your SELECT statement to return only unique values, or use GROUP BY on all columns to collapse duplicates.

6️⃣ What are UNION and UNION ALL?
A: Both combine result sets of two or more SELECT statements. UNION removes duplicate rows, while UNION ALL includes all duplicates, making it faster.

7️⃣ What is Indexing and why is it used?
A: An Index is a pointer to data in a table. It works like an index in a book, allowing the database to find data much faster without scanning the entire table.

8️⃣ What is a Primary Key vs. Foreign Key?
A: * Primary Key: Uniquely identifies each record in a table (cannot be NULL).

Foreign Key: A field in one table that refers to the Primary Key in another table, creating a link between them.

9️⃣ What is the difference between DELETE and TRUNCATE?
A: DELETE is a DML command used to remove specific rows (can be rolled back). TRUNCATE is a DDL command that removes all rows from a table and is generally faster as

The end-to-end Power BI workflow, captured on one page. 📄📊
Power BI is an incredibly deep platform. You aren't just analyzing data; you're often acting as a data engineer (Power Query), a semantic modeler (DAX), a designer (Visualization), and an administrator (Power BI Service) all at once. 🤯
It’s easy to get lost in the weeds or forget a step in the process.
To help navigate the full lifecycle of a report, I’ve put together this comprehensive "POWER BI ESSENTIAL CHEAT SHEET." It is designed as a complete A4 desk reference to keep you on track from raw data to published insights.
This guide covers the 5 pillars of Power BI development:
🔌 1. Data Loading & Transformation (Power Query): Essential steps for connecting, merging, cleaning, and profiling your raw data before it hits the model.
🧠 2. DAX & Data Modeling: The core engine—mastering relationships, measures vs. columns, and the all-important time intelligence functions.
📈 3. Visualization: Moving beyond basic bars—utilizing the analytics pane, custom tooltips, and configuring interactions effectively.
☁️ 4. Power BI Service: The deployment phase—publishing to workspaces, managing gateways, and setting up Row-Level Security (RLS).
✅ 5. Best Practices: Critical tips for performance optimization, consistent naming conventions, and accessible design.
Save this image to keep handy during your next build!
👇 Which of these five pillars do you spend the most time in during your workday? Let me know in the comments!
