At COP 29 in Baku, Editor Souvik Chongder emerged as a dynamic and visionary voice in the global climate dialogue. He presented 15 detailed articles, 3 explanatory videos on Climate Finance, and a research paper analyzing the World Bank’s role in climate financing. His work introduced innovative strategies to address emerging climate challenges and highlighted the emotional and ecological call of the oceans through his symbolic reference to “Moana” the voice of a planet in distress. This moment marked a defining milestone in his journey as a climate leader and communicator.

Over the past year, Souvik has authored more than 500 articles across 53 countries and published two influential books exploring global climate policies and survival strategies. His vision extends beyond advocacy he seeks to empower children from Indigenous and climate-vulnerable communities by distributing free copies of his books to inspire young climate leaders. Despite earning the prestigious Blue Badge, UNFCCC Media Accreditation, and obtaining his Brazil visa for COP 30, he was unable to attend due to the lack of USD 12,500 in travel funds. Yet, his absence from the venue does not silence his impact.

Souvik continues to contribute meaningfully to the global climate movement by sharing the digital version of his book “Burning Earth”, which covers climate issues and adaptation strategies across 42 nations. He hopes participants at COP 30 will help circulate this work to those who need awareness most Indigenous communities, children, and climate-vulnerable regions.

Souvik wanted to give this book free to all indigenous communities

Throughout his career, Souvik has bridged local realities with international platforms. His notable contributions include addressing the Sundarbans food crisis, presenting a policy blueprint on Ganga erosion to delegates from 26 countries, and developing a child education framework integrating climate studies into school curricula.

Souvik’s work from the “Finance COP” articles to policy analysis on carbon markets and adaptation finance continues to guide journalists, negotiators, and researchers worldwide.

As COP30 Brazil unfolds, Souvik Chongder stands out as an essential global leader, not because of his title, but because of his tireless dedication to connecting communities, bridging policy with practice, and amplifying the voices of the unheard. His thought leadership, rooted in real-world climate realities, represents exactly the kind of inclusive, action-driven vision the world needs to make COP 30 a platform for true climate justice.

The Battle for the Arctic! Climate Crisis or Cold War 2.0?

Full report: https://globalclimatecare.in/climate-south-america/f/the-battle-for-the-arctic-climate-crisis-or-cold-war-20

The Arctic is no longer just a frozen frontier it’s the new geopolitical battleground. As ice melts at record speed, new sea routes, untapped oil, and natural gas reserves are drawing the attention of global superpowers.

The U.S. sees the Arctic as critical for national and international security, while Russia and China strengthen their strategic alliance in the polar north.

What was once a symbol of pristine isolation is now at the center of climate diplomacy, energy competition, and global security risks.

At Brazil, the world must decide will the Arctic remain a zone of peace and climate cooperation, or become the flashpoint of the next great power conflict?
