Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi Reviews Railway Projects of Karnataka at SWR headquarters, Hubballi
The Minister reviewed the redevelopment of Hubballi station at an estimated cost of ₹397 crore, along with details of the DPR for the Hubballi Ankola new line project estimated at ₹17,000 Crores.
During the review, the Hon’ble Minister assessed the progress of key projects in Karnataka including the Hubballi Ankola new line, Tumkur Chitradurga new line, Dharwad Belagavi new line, Bagalkot Kudachi line, Gadag Wadi line
Additionally, the Minister examined progress under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) at Alnavar (₹17.2 crore), Badami (₹15.1 crore), Koppal (₹21.14 crore), and Bantwal (₹26.18 crore)
Minister took stock of SWR’s achievements in new-line construction, doubling, and progress of ROB/RUB works during 2025. Joshi emphasized the need for speedy ex*****on of railway developmental works and assured full support from the Central Government in resolving any bottlenecks.
He also apprised of the Gadag Yalvigi new line DPR, which is to be submitted to the Railway Board by December 2025, and the ongoing works on Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and Road Under Bridges (RUBs)
