HYDERABAD CITY POLICE โ HNEW โ As per the directions of Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) team on credible information, conducted joint operation in coordination with Hussainialam Police Station.
During the operation, apprehended (01) Local Drug Peddler and (01) Drug Transporter and seized 120 grams of OG, 5 grams of Co***ne, 27 L*D Blots, (02) Mobile phones and one Car Maruti Suzuki Baleno bearing no. TG12-8766 All worth of Rs. 13,24,500/-.

Details of the Drug Transporter: Sameer Babubhai Waghela S/o Babubhai Waghela, Age: 25 Years, Occ: Un-employed R/o Bail Bazar, Kurla West, Mumbai, Maharashtra State
________________________________________Brief about Mohd. Saif: Mohd. Saif, S/o Mohammed Shareef, is a resident of Ghansi Bazar, Babri Alawa, Charminar, Hyderabad. He resides with his father, mother, and wife. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that he was allegedly leading a lavish lifestyle by engaging in the illegal procurement and sale of narcotic drugs. He was also allegedly consuming alcohol and narcotic substances such as OG (Hydroponic Cannabis), Co***ne, and L*D Blots.
The investigation further revealed that Mohd. Saif allegedly procured OG, Co***ne, and L*D Blots from his associate, Aditya, a resident of Mumbai, who is presently absconding. The contraband was allegedly supplied through Sameer Babubhai Waghela, a resident of Mumbai. After receiving the consignments, Mohd. Saif allegedly distributed the narcotic substances to consumers in Hyderabad.

Brief about Sameer Babubhai Waghela: Sameer Babubhai Waghela is a resident of Mumbai, Maharashtra. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that he allegedly acted as an intermediary in the supply of narcotic drugs on behalf of the absconding supplier, Aditya, a resident of Mumbai. He allegedly transported and delivered consignments of OG (Hydroponic Cannabis), Co***ne, and L*D Blots to Mohd. Saif for further distribution to consumers in Hyderabad.
BRIEF ABOUT THE CASE:
Acting on credible information and under the close supervision of the superior officers, on 30-07-2026, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) conducted a special operation along with the staff of Hussainialam Police Station and apprehended a local drug peddler and a sub-peddler who were allegedly involved in the procurement and supply of narcotic drugs. During the operation, the police team apprehended Sameer Babubhai Waghela near Murgi Chowk, Khilwat, Hussaini Alam, Hyderabad, within the limits of Hussaini Alam Police Station. The operation was carried out as part of the continuing efforts of Hyderabad City Police to identify, trace, and apprehend drug traffickers involved in the supply of narcotic substances to Hyderabad and other parts of the country. Sincere efforts are being made to identify other members of the drug trafficking network.
Modus Operandi:
During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Mohd. Saif allegedly procured OG (Hydroponic Cannabis), Co***ne, and L*D Blots from an absconding supplier, Aditya, a resident of Mumbai, through his associate, Sameer Babubhai Waghela. After receiving the consignments in Hyderabad, Mohd. Saif allegedly supplied the narcotic substances to consumers through his local network. He allegedly sold the contraband at higher prices to earn illegal profits and maintain a lavish lifestyle while coordinating the procurement and distribution through mobile communication.

The Hyderabad Police appeal to the public to remain vigilant against the menace of narcotic drugs and refrain from purchasing, consuming, or trafficking any prohibited substances. Parents are requested to closely monitor their children's activities and educate them about the serious health, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse. The public is also advised not to receive or send suspicious parcels or allow their bank accounts, UPI IDs, or mobile numbers to be used for illegal financial transactions related to narcotic drugs. Any information regarding drug peddling, transportation, storage, or sale may be shared with the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) or the nearest police station. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential. Public cooperation is vital in eliminating the drug menace and ensuring a safe and drug-free society.
