, the native festival of Telangana, started yesterday. Traditionally it is Golconda from where it starts and then goes onto the others in the city - Balkampet, Ujjaini Mahankali, Lal Darwaza and Akkanna Madanna being the big ones and each having a long history .Golconda bonalu is the oldest having a 350 year old history . It was in the 1675 during the Asaf Jahi ruler Abdul Hasan Tanisha , that his finance minister Akkanna, prevailed upon him to build a small temple for Ellamma to overcome a disease in the Golconda fort .

Eight people, including a newly wed Woman and her Lover, Mother were arrested for Murder her Husband of dist, .

Police have found that Tejeswar's wife and her lover initially planned to kill, same manner was killed by his wife during Honeymoon in Meghalaya and considered making a similar plan to eliminate Land Surveyor Tejeshwar.

The main accused Tirumala Rao, a married man working as a Manager in a housing finance company in Kurnool, had developed a relationship with a woman sweeper employed in his office.

He helped her obtain housing loans and meet her financial needs, which led to an illicit relationship. He also developed a similar relationship with her daughter Aishwarya (23) and allegedly promised to marry her.

However, Aishwarya got engaged to Tejeshwar.

"After this, it became difficult for Tirumala Rao and Aishwarya to continue their relationship. As a result, they both planned to kill Tejeshwar by offering a contract (supari) to people they knew," police said.

Police confirmed the arrests, 8 persons, naming the accused as V. Tirumala Rao, Aishwarya, Kummari Nagesh, Chakali Parashuram, Chakali Raju, A. Mohan, Tirupathayya, and Sujatha. The investigation revealed that the murder was premeditated and involved multiple conspirators working in coordination to execute the crime.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was on his way to Ratlam for an event on Friday. The vehicles in the convoy, mostly Toyota Innovas stopped at Shakti Fueling station located near Dosigaon village on the Indore-Mhow road about 10 kilometers short of the Ratlam collectorate. These cars were carrying the chief minister’s staff.

In a significant victory against drug trafficking, the Telangana Anti- Narcotic Bureau (TGANB), in coordination with Narsingi Police, apprehended one Nigerian national and two Indian peddlers from a high-end flat in Manikonda, Hyderabad, seizing 107 grams of Co***ne and 25 grams of Ecstasy pills worth approximately INR 30,00,000.
The raid occurred at Alkapuri Township, based on credible intelligence about a Goa-Hyderabad drug link.

SWIFT APPREHENSION OF OFFENDER IN A GRAVE HB AND RECOVERED AROUND ₹46 LAKHS STOLEN CASH WITHIN A SPAN OF SIX HOURS

FACTS:

Received a complaint from managing Director of Sun Steels Private Limited, located at Patigadda stating that an amount of ₹46 lakhs was stolen from his godown by an unknown offender on the night of June 20-21, 2025, by breaking open a Godrej locker in his office cabin. On receipt of the complaint, an FIR No. 266/2025 was registered under sections 331(4) and 305 BNS.
Information was gathered that the accused was fleeing from Secunderabad to Pureli, Madhya Pradesh, by bus. Bus stands and depots were alerted, and police stations were informed, with the accused's photo and details shared. The accused was identified through CCTV cameras, travel agencies were verified. Knowing that he made a call from the cell phone of a Dhaba owner at Medchal, the CCTV at the Dhaba was verified and his movements were tracked from the driver of the Bus he was travelling.
Due to the efforts of the police, with the aid of Adilabad Police, the accused was apprehended at the Maharashtra border, and the entire stolen amount of AROUND ₹46 lakhs was recovered from his possession.

Name: Giridhari Singh, Aged: 28 years, Native of: Pureli, Sarai, Madhya Pradesh
MODUS OPERANDI:
Previously, the accused had worked with the complainant's company for three years but was terminated six months ago due to his inappropriate behaviour. During his tenure, the accused became familiar with the practice of keeping liquid cash in the locker of the complainant's office cabin, which led him to hatch a plan to commit theft. Accordingly, on the night of June 20-21, 2025, he executed the offence by entering through a gap in the roof and breaking open a Godrej locker.
SEIZURE:
₹46.4 Lakhs from the possession of accused.

The sleuths of Afzalgunj PS arrested inter state diverting attention gang leader Jaya Kumar of Manvi of Karnataka State in Crime No.177/2025, U/s.318(4), 303(2) BNS of P.S Afzalgunj, Hyd.
Details of the gang members:
1) Jaya Kumar S/o Balappa, Age: 50 years, Occ: Rope Business R/olslam Nagar, Manvi (V&T), Raichur Dist, Karnataka State.
2) Uday @ Reddy S/o Raghavendrappa Age: 35 yrs Occ: Rope Business R/oMudgal, Raichur, Karnataka (Absconding)
3) Sandeep @ Raghu S/o Rayappa, Age: 24 yrs, Occ: Pvt Job, R/oJanthapur(v), Mudgal, Raichur, Karnataka (Absconding)
Seized:
1. Total Net Cash Recovered: Rs.40,00,000/-

Modus Operandi: The gang leader Jaya Kumar along with his associates formed an interstate gang of diverting attention by luring victims in the name of supply of original gold at half price and committing offences.
Facts of the case On 12.05.2025, received a complaint from Sri Munukuntla Niranjan, S/o M.Anjaiah, Aged 46 Years, Occ: Real estate Business, R/oBharat Nagar Colony, Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District stating that on 20.03.2025, received a phone call from an unknown number, wherein one Reddy introduced himself and stated that gold is available for sale at half price. On regular phone calls, he along with his partner cm friend Dharmender also met the said person Reddy & his associate Raghu at Pedda Amberpet and got fixed the deal of gold purchase. Accordingly, on 12.05.2025 at 10.00 am, said persons asked the complainant to come at Dilsukhnagar along with cash. On the directions of said persons, complainant & his friend Dharmender came to Chaderghat in their car along with Cash of Rs.65 lakhs in a bag. Again they lead them to Putlibowli x road, Afzalgunj at 14:30 hrs. There they met Raghu, near the auto stand in-front of Irani Chai, Putlibowli and there they exchanged the bags with cash of Rs.65 Lakhs and one bag imitated to be gold. Immediately Raghu along with his two associates left the spot on two bikes without number plates. When complainant checked the bag, shocked to see that the bag contains sarees wrapped with stones instead of gold. Immediately they called on Reddy's Phone no., but it was switched off and learnt he was cheated.
Under the guidance of superior officers, a special team was formed and started efforts as this case was no clues nor identity of the offenders. The teams collected clues of unknown offenders through technical, CCTV footages as well as field enquiries and identified the gang members namely Jaya Kumar, Uday, and Sandeep all hails from Raichur District of Karnataka State. On 22.06.2025 at about 10:30 Hrs, the main gang leader Jaya Kumar was apprehended near CBS and seized Net Cash of Rs.40 Lakhs of cheated amount of complaint and also seized one Hyundai Creta car, which was used in commission of offence.
The efforts are being continued to apprehend other absconding gang members in this case.
This case was detected under the close supervision of Sri Dr. B. Bala Swamy,IPS., DCP, East Zone, Sri J. Narsaiah, ADCP, East Zone, Sri M. Mattiah, ACP Sultan Bazar Divn and arrest were made by the Team of PS Afzalgunj i.e. Sri N Ravi, SHO, Sri B. Ravi Kiran, Detective Inspector of Police, DSI P.Ram Kishan, Crime staff: HCs Md.Yaseen Shareef, Srikanth Bidla, PCs J.Jitender, Md Suleman, G Srikanth & Vishal Kumar.
