amil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is hosting the first Joint Action Committee (JAC) meeting on delimitation on Saturday (March 22, 2025) in Chennai, with Chief Ministers of Kerala, Telangana, and Punjab: Pinarayi Vijayan, Revanth Reddy, Bhagwant Singh Mann set to take part. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar is attending from Karnataka.

Terming the meeting as a “defining moment”, Mr. Stalin said if Tamil Nadu and other States lose representation due to the upcoming delimitation process, it will strike at the very foundation of federalism in India. Earlier in the month, Mr. Stalin had chaired an all-party meeting, adopting the resolution that Tamil Nadu’s existing 7.18% of the total seats must not be reduced under any circumstances during the delimitation exercise. He had also said that the 1971 population should be the basis for delimitation of Lok Sabha seats for 30 years from 2026 and PM Modi should make an assurance in the Parliament. The JAC is to take forward such demands.

On 20-03-2025, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone team, Hyderabad along with Chandrayangutta Police apprehended (01) Notorious Rowdy Sheeter of Chandrayangutta Police Station who is absconding since long time and executed (01) Non Bailable warrant.

Iqbal bin Khalifa S/o Salam Bin Khalifa Age: 54 years, Occ:- Real Estate/Finance Business, R/o Barkas, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad (Rowdy Sheeter of Chandrayangutta PS)

BRIEF FACTS:
On 20-03-2025, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone team apprehended (01) Notorious Rowdy Sheeter of Chandrayangutta Police Station by name Iqbal bin Khalifa who is involved in (09) cases including Murder of Shaik Sayeed Bawazeer, Extortion, cheating, forgery and threatening cases in Chandrayangutta & Bandlaguda Police Stations. On interrogation, it came to know that, the said rowdy sheeter is absconding since long time and avoiding the court trails in Cr. No. 544/2023 U/s 420, 384 IPC and Sec 2, 10, 13(1) (a) (b) Telangana Money Lenders Act of Chandrayangutta PS and the Hon’ble Court has issued Non-Bailable Warrant against him.

The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri S. Saidababu, Inspector of Police, South-East Zone Task Force team, by SIs Sri M. Madhu, Sk. Kaviuddin, P. Sairam and PC Sri C. Rakesh, along with the team of the Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone, Hyderabad, and the staff of Chandrayangutta Police Station.

A tragic loss today—Dr. Soha Fatima, a young doctor, left her home as usual, unaware that she would never return. A fire engine collision took her life on the spot near Upparpally, Attapur. She was full of dreams, aspirations, and a commitment to serve, but fate had other plans.

Her family must have been immensely proud of her journey—an accomplished doctor, a source of joy and hope. But in a cruel instant, they lost the daughter they cherished. She was taken for postmortem in an auto trolley, and a call from the police would have shattered their world.

She passed away in the blessed state of fasting during Ramadan. May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah, elevate her ranks, and give her family immense patience. May He also grant a speedy recovery to her colleague who is battling for her life.
