Tsrtc on Tuesday launched the T 24 (Travel 24 hours) facility service, under which passengers can buy a ticket for Rs 100 and travel in TSRTC buses in the city for 24 hours.

Commuters will now be able to travel across Hyderabad and Secunderabad after buying the T-24 ticket, which will be valid for 24 hours from the time of purchase.

Angry man killed his own daughter.

Angry over his wife for delivering a girl child, a man killed his newborn daughter here at Kaghaznagar on Tuesday morning.

A person namely Bapu Rao, who already have two daughters was upset after his wife gave birth to a girl again.

He took the newborn and threw her on the road.

The girl who was 40-day-old was dead on the spot.

The incident occurred at Leniguda under Kaghaznagar limits.

Police arrested the accused and remanded to judicial custody.

Hyderabad court directs hospitals not to collect registration fee, penalises Apollo

A consumer court in Hyderabad directed the Telangana Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare to take steps to stop hospitals from collecting money in the name of registration fee. Calling it an “unfair and restrictive” practice, the court directed that all hospitals in Hyderabad district must stop collecting registration fees.

The judgement came after a consumer, Vijay Gopal, complained against the Jubilee Hills branch of Apollo Hospitals for charging a registration fee.

The order has also specifically directed the hospital to stop collecting registration fees from patients, and slapped a fine of Rs 3,000 towards litigation cost and Rs 10,000 as compensation on the hospital for the ‘mental agony’ caused to the complainant.

Parts of Telangana to see heavy rains from November 2, IMD issues yellow warning

A yellow warning has been issued for parts of Telangana from November 2 to 4 by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), as the weather pattern suggests that few districts in the state might experience heavy rainfall. According to the IMD, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban), Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts of Telangana over the next few days. It further said, “Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of Telangana.”
