A f!re suddenly broke out in a running safari car at Lakshmi Talkies Center in .

The Srinivas nagar family was returning from when the accident occurred due to a sh0rt circuit in the engine wires.

Alert locals controlled the fire with water.

, a surprise vehicle-checking drive was conducted across South Zone at four strategic locations. A total of 110 police personnel participated in the operation.

During the drive, 80 vehicles were seized for violations such as improper number plates and modified silencers.

Police officials noted that several rowdy sheeters and trouble-mongers have been using vehicles with tampered or improper number plates to move around at night and commit offences, including robberies and property crimes.

Police will continue such surprise checks regularly.

Public is advised to ensure proper number plates, avoid illegal modifications, and carry valid documents to avoid action. 🚨👮‍♂️🚗

National Lok Adalat to be Held at Port Blair, Mayabunder, Diglipur & Campbell Bay on Dec. 13

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, will conduct the National Lok Adalat on December 13, 2025, at multiple court complexes across the Islands. The Lok Adalat sittings will be organized at the District Court Complex in Port Blair, the Sub-Divisional Court Complex in Mayabunder, and the Circuit Courts at Diglipur and Campbell Bay.

The initiative aims at speedy disposal of disputes through consensual settlement between parties. Along with compoundable cases already pending before various courts, disputes at the pre-litigation stage will also be taken up during the National Lok Adalat for amicable resolution.

Pre-litigation matters eligible for submission include cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, money recovery disputes, labour matters, electricity and water bill disputes (excluding non-compoundable cases), maintenance cases, civil disputes, and cases under the Consumer Protection Act.

The general public with eligible disputes—whether pending in court or yet to be filed—may submit details in writing to the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Port Blair, on or before December 4, 2025. This will help ensure proper processing and listing of matters for settlement during the Lok Adalat on December 13.
