The Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone, in coordination with Falaknuma Police, arrested a five-member gang involved in a criminal conspiracy to murder a rival rowdy sheeter. Police seized Rs. 40,000/- cash (advance payment for the murder) and two mobile phones from the accused.

Syed Faiyaz (39) – Real estate agent, mastermind of the plot, Falaknuma.

Syed Zaffer Uddin @ Abbu (40) – Real estate, Falaknuma.

Mohd Khaleeluddin (30) – Private employee, suspect sheeter of Falaknuma PS.

Mohd Ibrahim (30) – Driver, rowdy sheeter of Mailardevpally PS.

Syed Younus @ Ajju (28) – Resident of Falaknuma.

𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:

The prime accused, Syed Faiyaz, planned to eliminate Mujahid @ Mujju, a rowdy sheeter from Dundigal PS, due to old monetary disputes and fears of being targeted. Mujahid, who was jailed for a previous murder, had recently been released on parole. Faiyaz hired the gang for Rs. 15 lakhs, giving Rs. 40,000/- in advance to carry out the killing.

Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested the gang before the murder could take place. A case has been registered under Cr. No. 268/2025, U/s 61(2)(a) BNS at Falaknuma Police Station.

The Bowenpally Police arrested Nochina Sampath Kumar, a 25-year-old cab driver from Moula-Ali, for attempting to murder two patrolling constables by intentionally ramming his car into their police vehicle on 05-07-2025.

While on Blue C**t duty around 10:00 PM, constables K. Chanti and L. Praveen approached a suspicious parked taxi on Dairy Farm Road. The accused, caught engaging in indecent activity with a woman, deliberately drove into their bike to evade police, resulting in grievous injuries to Constable Praveen's leg and minor injuries to Constable Chanti. The accused fled the scene.

Using CCTV footage and technical analysis, police identified and apprehended the accused on 08-07-2025 near Dilsukhnagar Metro Station, seizing the crime vehicle (TS07UM7908) and a OnePlus smartphone.

The car was being operated under a ride-sharing platform and taken on lease from a fleet operator. The accused acted violently to avoid detection, fearing legal and social consequences.

The Bowenpally Police arrested a notorious rowdy sheeter, Abdul Salam @ Abbu, a 23-year-old fruit vendor from Hasmathpet, for attempting to extort and murder a lone motorcyclist, Mohd Abdul Majeed @ Rameez, near Vijaya Durga Wines, Hasmathpet, on the night of 07.07.2025. After consuming alcohol, the accused blocked the victim’s path, demanded money, and attacked him with a folding knife when he resisted, causing multiple injuries to his face and neck. Passersby intervened and saved the victim, who was hospitalized.

The accused, a known habitual offender with five prior assault cases under Alwal and Bowenpally PS limits, was arrested early on 08.07.2025 from his residence. The weapon used was seized. He is known for intimidating the public and has "302" and "307" IPC section tattoos on his neck, symbolizing murder and attempt to murder charges.

He has been booked under FIR No. 298/2025, Sections 109(1), 308(4), and 126(2) BNS, and remanded to judicial custody.

Bathukamma Kunta Lake Works in Full Swing

The rejuvenation work is in full swing, aiming to restore the lake’s ecosystem and improve water quality. The project is scheduled for completion by September 2025. Three TN students killed after school van collides with train; three injured
The van, belonging to Krishnaswamy School, was carrying students when it was hit by the Villupuram–Mayiladuthurai Express while attempting to cross the railway line at Semmankuppam.
Three children studying in class 6 were killed and 3 more injured in a tragic collision between a school van and a train at a railway crossing near Semmankuppam in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore district on the morning of July 8, 2025.

The van, belonging to Krishnaswamy School, was carrying students when it was hit by the Villupuram–Mayiladuthurai Express while attempting to cross the railway line at Semmankuppam. Preliminary investigations by the railways and police suggest that the gatekeeper was asleep and did not close the gate.

The impact of the collision destroyed the van and left several children seriously injured. Locals in the area immediately initiated rescue efforts before police and emergency services arrived. The injured students were rushed to the Cuddalore Government Hospital for treatment.

Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adithya Senthil Kumar and Superintendent of Police Jayakumar visited the accident site to carry out relief and rescue measures.

Locals from the area gathered at the accident site and tried to attack the gatekeeper. The police prevented the locals and later the villagers staged a protest, demanding answers from the railway authorities.

Railway services have been halted on the route.
