HYDERABAD CITY POLICE – KULSUMPURA POLICE STATION
NOTORIOUS VEHICLE THEFT OFFENDER ARRESTED – 04 TWO-WHEELER VEHICLES RECOVERED.
The Kulsumpura Police, under the guidance of the DCP, South West Zone, have successfully apprehended a habitual offender involved in multiple two-wheeler theft cases.
Accused Details:
Name: Mohammed Istiyaq S/o Mohammed Azmath, Age: 21 years,Occ: Auto Driver, R/o: Bismillah Colony, Shaheen Nagar, Pahadi Shareef, Hyd.

The accused, Mohammed Istiyaq, was previously involved in Cr. No: 177/2024 under Section 376 IPC and Sections 3 & 4 of the POCSO Act, registered at PS Kulsumpura, and had served a jail term. After his release, he developed bad habits and resorted to vehicle theft to meet his expenses.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing 07 two-wheeler thefts across various police station limits.

Cr. No. 336/2024 U/s 303(2) BNS, PS Kulsumpura
01 vehicle is related to Crime No. 217/2024 U/s 303(2) BNS, PS Hussainialam
01 vehicle is (unclaimed property).
In addition, the accused sold 03 stolen vehicles to scrap shops. The scrap shop owner has also been involved in the case and will be prosecuted accordingly.
The accused was arrested today and has been remanded to judicial custody
