Don’t make these 5 mistakes while visiting beautiful Zanzibar!

- Don’t rely on cards for payments. Cash is essential on the island. You will find some hotels and tourist restaurants that accept cards but they may have a surcharge for that.
- Don’t walk around villages wearing swimwear. You should cover your shoulders and knees when you’re not on the beach or in your beach resort.
- Don’t leave your belongings unattended.
- Don’t forget to buy the mandatory travel insurance for Zanzibar. It has to be the specific one that they provide at https://inbound.visitzanzibar.go.tz. You’ll need to show the QR code of the insurance certificate to enter the country.
- Don’t forget to check the visa requirements for your passport and if you want to avoid the visa on arrival lines at the airport, make sure to apply for the eVisa online with weeks in advance. It took us almost 3 weeks to receive the eVisa approval by email.

Amazing days in Zanzibar! 🤩🐬🐢🏝️

This was our first time in Tanzania 🇹🇿 and we had 10 days on beautiful Unguja, which is the main island in the archipelago of Zanzibar.

We stayed in Stone Town, Nungwi and Jambiani and all the tours that we did throughout the island were all organized by

The places in this reel are from the Prison Island + Nakupenda sandbar tour and from the Mnemba island tour.

Swimming with dolphins was definitely the highlight of our trip (even though our action camera broke down 😂😞).

We’ll release the videos on our channel in a few weeks, so stay tuned!

These 5 MISTAKES may cost you hundreds of euros, so make sure to avoid them to have a happy trip to Italy! 🇮🇹

- Don’t leave valuables in the car! Thieves can be sneaky and might even break your windows to get your stuff. We’ve seen a lot of negative reviews about this happening. Some people leave their luggage in the trunk, and when they come back, it’s all gone. A nightmare! So don’t do this! We saw broken glass on the ground in some parking lots that we used 😕

- Don’t drive in ZTL zones! If you see the sign that we showed in the reel and you don’t have special access to the ZTL area, don’t go through! Even if there’s no police. They are camera-controlled, and you can be fined for over € 300 depending on where you are.

- If you find a “free parking” that is limited to 90 or 60 minutes, don’t forget to leave a Disco Orario (Parking Disc) on your vehicle’s front dashboard. You will need to set the dial’s arrow to the exact time you parked in order to avoid fines. Some car rental agencies will provide you with the parking disc, but if your car doesn’t have one, make sure to carry a piece of paper so that you can write the time that you parked on it.

- Avoid using Euronet ATMs to withdraw money. In fact, it’s advisable to avoid Euronet in all of Europe, not just Italy. We recommend this because they may charge extremely high fees, use unfavorable exchange rates, and push poor conversion options. If you search online, there are many forums talking about it.

- Keep your valuables close and be extra careful when walking in crowded places. Pickpocketing can happen in busy areas, so stay alert and aware of your surroundings!

Truth about the Dolomites: you don’t have to go to the most famous spots to have a great time.

There are so many places that are absolutely breathtaking, but there are only so many places that can get super famous and crowded 😅 If you visit spots like Lago di Serapis, Lago di Braies, Seceda, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and Cadini di Misurina, you’ll definitely see lots of other tourists if you go between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in peak season.

But the Dolomites are a HUGE area of over 15,000 km² . You just have to be a little bit creative and use apps like Google Maps, Maps.Me, or AllTrails to find out-of-the-beaten-path places. We guarantee that it’s not hard at all 😊 And it definitely helps that everywhere you look is beautiful… and driving around is already a “tourist attraction” by itself.

After traveling full time for more than 7 years, we can easily say that the Dolomites is one of the most beautiful places in the world 🤩 Hopefully, this reel and the full video that will go live in a few weeks will be able to give you an idea of how majestic the Dolomites are… but honestly, you will only be able to fully understand it when you’re there.

This is a place that gives you goosebumps, that makes you feel lucky to be there to experience it, that sometimes might even make you want to shed tears of joy 🥹💖
