Breaking News WaqfProperty WaqfKaHaq Mazloomon KiAwaaz HaqKi Awaaz WaqfKaTahaffuz YateemonKaHaq GhareebonKaHaq : *Request to Raise Critical Minority and Waqf Issues in the Upcoming Telangana Assembly Session (September 2026)
The Telangana Assembly session is scheduled to begin in September 2026.
Senior MLA Janab Akbaruddin Owaisi Sahib is a* seasoned, voiceful, and experienced parliamentarian who has consistently championed minority rights and public issues on the floor of the Assembly.
We strongly hope and expect the following critical issues regarding Waqf properties, administrative accountability, and alleged irregularities will be raised during the upcoming session:
Protection and Issues of Specific Waqf Properties:
Encroachments and property issues related to Jamia Nizamia land in Malkajgiri.
Land and management matters concerning Masjid in Begumpet.
Issues involving Dargah Shah Kuli Bahadur in Khammam.
Protection of properties and graveyard lands belonging to Dargah Hazrath Syed Ahmed Badshah (R.A.) at First Lancer.
Demand for an Independent Probe into Waqf & Minority Department Irregularities:
*Alleged Tender Irregularities: Serious allega* tions regarding tender allocations across various Dargahs.
Inaction Against Bureaucrats: Lack of departmental action against certain officials despite repeated complaints.
Multiple Charge Accumulation: The questionable concentration of key administrative roles (Waqf Board, Urdu Academy, and Hajj Committee) under a single officer.
Waqf Board CEO Administrative Misconduct:
In 2025, a Government Order (G.O.) was issued transferring the CEO of the Waqf Board back to their parent department.
The officer allegedly refused to comply, challenged the G.O. in the High Court to retain the post, and remained absent from duty for 45 days.
Despite the Waqf Board Chairman's refusal to approve salary for the unauthorized absence, the officer allegedly used administrative influence to nullify the Chairman's authority via a government memorandum and drew the salary directly from Waqf Board funds.
Appeal to Opposition Leadership (BRS):
We also trust that BRS leaders Sri K. T. Rama Rao Garu and Sri T. Harish Rao Garu will support this call for transparency.
We urge them to demand an independent enquiry into alleged financial mismanagement within the Waqf Board and Urdu Academy, including an investigation into the benami properties of involved officials and uncovering the influential figures backing them.
We trust that *Janab Akbaruddin Owaisi Sahib* and key leaders will bring these urgent public grievances to the floor of the Assembly to ensure justice, accountability, and the protection of minority institution properties.
