Cytomegalovirus (CMV) colitis has been increasingly recognized in the context of ASC. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing has emerged as a highly sensitive and rapid diagnostic method.

Serotonin was injected into the body of intact animals and against the background of separate and joint blockade of α- and β-adrenergic receptors.

Abstract: Non-Surgical Pneumoperitoneum is defined by the presence of free air in the peritoneal cavity that can be detected by an X-ray. Such patients can be managed successfully by observation and supportive care alone or may be subjected to a laparotomy which usually turns out to be non-diagnostic.
