BUSTED ILLEGALL SALE OF AUDULTERATED GINGER GARLIC PASTE- APPREHENDED (01) PERSON

The sleuths of Task Force, South-East Zone team along with staff of Bandlaguda PS on credible information conducted a raid on Ginger & Garlic Paste Manufacturing unit (FK Food Product), Patel Nagar, Bandlaguda, Hyderabad where storing and selling adulterated Ginger Garlic Paste to needy customers, and seized large quantity of the adulterated paste, along with seizure of 4 kgs of Titanium Dioxide and 16 kgs of Mono Citrate, and apprehended (01) accused person.

DETAILS OF APPREHENDED ACCUSED PERSON

Mohammed Faisal @ Faisal , Age 44 years, Occ: Business, R/o Patel Nagar, Bandlaguda Hyderabad.

SEIZED MATERIAL:

1) Adulterated Ginger Garlic Paste- 870 Kg’s
2) Titanium Dioxide- 4 kg’s
3) Mono Citrate- 16kg’s
4) 4kg turmeric powder for colouring

All worth of Rs. 1, 40,000/-

*BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:*

It has come to notice that Mr. Mohammed Faisal is engaged in the manufacturing of adulterated and noxious ginger-garlic paste at his residence, operating under the brand name FK Food Product. He is reportedly supplying this adulterated product to various general kirana stores and directly to known and needy customers. The said product is prepared using harmful chemicals such as Titanium Dioxide, turmeric powder for colouring and other chemical substance which are not permitted for such food preparations as per the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines. These substances pose serious health risks to consumers and are a violation of food safety regulations. By adulterating the ginger-garlic paste with these hazardous components, Mr. Faisal is endangering public health and engaging in illegal activities for personal gain.

The raid was made under the supervision of Sri S. Saidababu, Inspector of Police, South-East team by SI’s, Sri, Sk. Kaviuddin, P. Sairam, M. Madhu and PC Sri B. Shiva Lingam and the staff of Commissioner’s Task Force, -East Zone along with staff of Station.
