*ARREST OF ACCUSED INVOLVED IN THE*
*MURDER OF ADVOCATE KHAJA MOIZUDDIN*

*Brief Facts of the Case:* On 23-05-2026 at about 08:30 hours, a complaint was received from Sri M.S. Farhan S/o Khaja Moizuddin, Occupation: Advocate, R/o Masab Tank, Hyderabad, wherein he stated that on 23-05-2026 at about 05:45 AM, as part of his daily routine, his father Advocate Khaja Moizuddin left his residence for swimming and proceeded towards his vehicle parked in front of their residence. At that time, one unknown four-wheeler vehicle came at high speed and intentionally hit his father with great force, due to which he was thrown nearly 10 meters away and sustained grievous injuries. The injured was immediately shifted to Mahaveer Hospital and later to UDAI Omni Hospital, Abids, Hyderabad for treatment, where he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
Based on the complaint, a case was initially registered in Cr.No.206/2026 U/s 109(1), 281, 61(2)(a) r/w 3(5) BNS at Nampally Police Station and investigation was taken up. Subsequent to the death of the injured, sections of law were altered to U/s 103(1), 61(2)(a) r/w 3(5) BNS.
Investigation Details:
During the course of investigation, CCTV footage clearly revealed that a green colour Mahindra Scorpio vehicle without number plates intentionally waited near the residence of the deceased and deliberately hit Moizuddin when he was getting into his vehicle. The offending vehicle thereafter fled from the scene.
During investigation, the accused persons were identified after verification of CCTV footage at Panchavati Lodge, Secunderabad and Mehfil Hotel, Narayanguda.
Motive of the Offence:
Investigation revealed that long-standing disputes existed between the family of accused Mujahid Alam Khan and deceased Advocate Khaja Moizuddin relating to Waqf properties and management issues at Malakpet and Lakdikapul, Hyderabad. Several civil, criminal and Waqf Tribunal cases are pending between both groups for many years.
The accused persons believed that due to the active involvement of the deceased in various legal proceedings against them, they were suffering continuous legal setbacks and humiliation. Bearing grudge against the deceased, accused Mujahid Alam Khan, Mahmood Alam khan conspired conspired to eliminate him.
Conspiracy and Ex*****on of Crime:
The conspiracy to eliminate Advocate Khaja Moizuddin was hatched by accused Mujahid Alam Khan @ Baba and his father Mahaboob Alam Khan along with associates in a systematic and pre-planned manner for a contract amount of Rs.15,00,000/-.
Accused Mujahid Alam Khan and Mahaboob Alam Khan conspired along with their close associates Hassan Ali @ Chaous and Muneer to execute the plan through Kishan @ Pappu. Muneer and Chaous coordinated the ex*****on by handing over cash to Kishan to arrange logistics for the ex*****on of their plan. Kishan engaged Vinay who in turn engaged Abjit through Vikram to execute the plan. As part of the conspiracy, accused Mujahid Alam Khan arranged an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- to Kishan through Hassan Ali @ Chaous for procurement of a Scorpio vehicle for ex*****on of the offence.
Thereafter, from January 2026 onwards, accused Kishan @ Pappu along with accused Vinay, Abhijeeth @ Nani, Vikram @ Chintu and Deen Dayal conducted reconnaissance near the residence of the deceased and also at his regular movement places. The accused persons continuously monitored the movements of the deceased to identify the most suitable time and place for ex*****on of the offence.
On 23-05-2026, in pursuance of the conspiracy, the accused persons intentionally used the Scorpio vehicle and deliberately hit Advocate Khaja Moizuddin at high speed when he came out of his residence, resulting in grievous injuries, which later led to his death.
After commission of the offence, the accused persons fled from the scene and attempted to destroy evidence by removing identification marks from the vehicle and dispersing to different locations. Accused Mahboob Alam Khan also assisted accused Muneer and Chaous in escaping in order to avoid apprehension by police.
Thus, investigation clearly established that the offence was committed in furtherance of a well-planned criminal conspiracy executed in a systematic manner.
Details of Arrested Accused:
Based on technical evidence, police traced accused Kishan @ Pappu to Panipat, Haryana. A special team proceeded to Panipat and apprehended him on 27-05-2026. During interrogation, the accused voluntarily confessed about the conspiracy, role of each accused person, procurement of the vehicle, surveillance conducted prior to the offence and ex*****on of the murder. He also disclosed that accused Mujahid Alam Khan entrusted him with the task of eliminating advocate and in order to avoid links to him, put forth Muneer and Hassan Ali to contact him. Initially A1 also gave Rs.2,00,000/- for procurement of the vehicle.
The accused further confessed that he engaged accused Vinay, who in turn brought accused Abhijeeth @ Nani, Vikram @ Chintu and Manideep @ Pogo Nani for ex*****on of the contract killing.
Basing on Kishan’s confession, teams were formed to apprehend the accused. On technical leads and credible information, the accused A1 was arrested at his Jubilee hills house, A2 at his residence, A4, A5, A8 and A10 were arrested near MGBS, Gowliguda were arrested on 29-05-2026.
Accused No.1 Mujahid Alam Khan is the main conspirator in the case who hired persons for ex*****on of the murder. One mobile phone was seized from his possession.
Accused No.2 Mahaboob Alam Khan is the co-conspirator and planned the ex*****on of the offence through his son A1 and his close associate Hassan Ali @ Chaous and assisted them in evading arrest after commission of the offence.
Accused No.4 Abhijeeth @ Nani - drove the offending vehicle and caused the death of the advocate for monetary consideration. Cash of Rs.2,80,000/- and one mobile phone were seized from his possession.
Accused No.5 Dighan Vinay - arranged accused Abhijeeth @ Nani for ex*****on of the murder in return for money, participated in planning, procured the vehicle and took part in reconnaissance and ex*****on of the offence. The Scorpio vehicle, one mobile phone and cash of Rs.4,50,000/- were seized from his possession. He is also involved in multiple previous criminal cases.
Accused No.8 Vikram Aditya @ Chintu - connected accused Vinay with accused Abhijeeth @ Nani and participated in planning of the offence. Cash of Rs.1,00,000/- and one mobile phone were seized from him. He is also involved in previous criminal cases.
Accused No.10 Manideep @ Pogo Nani accompanied accused Kishan in the vehicle on the day of commission of the offence. Cash of Rs.12,000/- and one mobile phone were seized from his possession.
Police seized the Scorpio vehicle used in commission of the offence, cash amount of Rs.10,10,000/- and mobile phones from the possession of the accused under mediators’ panchanama. Further investigation is in progress to apprehend the remaining absconding accused persons and to collect additional technical and documentary evidence connected with the conspiracy.
The above arrests were made by the Investigating Officer Sri P. Praveen Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abids Division, Hyderabad, with the assistance of Sri CH Saidulu, Inspector of Police, Nampally Police Station and Sri M.A. Adil Riyaz Khan, Sub Inspector of Police, Nampally Police Station and staff under the direct supervision of senior officers of Hyderabad City Police.
