*Medchal DCP Holds Crime Review Meet*
A monthly crime review meeting was held on today., 17.06.2025 at Petbashirabad Police Station by Medchal DCP N. Koti Reddy, IPS.
The DCP conducted a detailed review of Under Investigation (UI) cases—both grave and non-grave—including those registered prior to 2023 and during the first half of 2024. Progress of these cases, particularly those under the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), and the distribution of Case Diary (CD) files were evaluated.
POCSO cases, SC/ST cases, Magisterial Cases (MC), Postmortem Examination (PME), and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report pendency were reviewed. The DCP emphasized prompt filing and coordination for effective investigation.
Performance of each police station in property detection, recovery rate, and conviction tracking was assessed. Surveillance on rowdy-sheeters and updates to suspect sheets for the years 2024 and 2025 were also discussed. Officers were instructed to maintain accuracy and consistency in CCTNS updates and rectify any data variations.
Cases related to National Lok-Adalat, including cybercrime Proceedings on Hand (PoH), and withdrawal of prosecution in compoundable offences were reviewed. The DCP also focused on noise pollution cases, 4C & Prajavani petitions, and pendency of Commission reports, urging officers to take timely and effective action.
The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on accountability, proactive policing, and timely case disposal. The DCP directed all officers to prioritize quality investigation and citizen service delivery.
The meeting was attended by the Additional DCP, Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACsP), SHOs, SIs, IOs, CDOs, CCTNS Operators, and Station Writers of Medchal Zone.
