Upon testing, the driver was found to be intoxicated. When police moved to seize the vehicle, the driver allegedly became aggressive and suddenly took out a snake, waving it at officers and demanding that his auto be released.The unexpected act caused chaos at the check-post, with motorists and bystanders running for safety. Police personnel, however, remained alert and swiftly controlled the situation. With the help of additional staff, the snake was safely secured and the driver was taken into custody.Police officials said appropriate legal action has been initiated against the auto driver for drunk driving, threatening public servants, and creating panic in a public place. No injuries were reported in the incident.Authorities have reiterated that strict action will be taken against offenders who endanger public safety and obstruct police duties during enforcement drives.
