St. George’s Church, Abids
Built in 1867, this Neo-Gothic landmark stands as a symbol of Hyderabad’s pluralistic heritage. While serving the British Residency, it flourished under the patronage of the Nizams. The Nizam’s Government gifted the 10.5-acre land, and the Sixth Nizam famously donated the church’s towering clock, bells, and generous funds—a true testament to the royal family’s religious tolerance.

Built in 1833 by Seth Puranmal Ganeriwala, this 200-year-old temple is a true symbol of Hyderabad’s Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb. Spanning 25 acres, it was granted a royal jagir by the 4th Nizam and received a ₹50,000 donation from the 7th Nizam. With its 20-foot fortress walls and a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, it stands as a historic testament to royal patronage and communal harmony.

سیتارام باغ مندر: اتحاد کی ایک علامت
سیٹھ پورنمل گنیری والا کا تعمیر کردہ یہ 200 سالہ قدیم مندر حیدرآباد کی گنگا جمنی تہذیب کا ایک شاہکار ہے۔ 1833 میں تعمیر ہونے والے اس مندر کو چوتھے نظام نے شاہی جاگیر عطا کی تھی، جبکہ ساتویں نظام میر عثمان علی خان نے اس کی تعمیرِ نو کے لیے 50,000 روپے کا عطیہ دیا تھا۔ اپنی 20 فٹ اونچی فصیلوں اور راجستھانی و مغل فنِ تعمیر کے امتزاج کے ساتھ، یہ مندر آج بھی حیدرآباد کی رواداری اور شاہی سرپرستی کی زندہ مثال ہے۔

کیا آپ جانتے ہیں کہ یہ شاندار مسجد ایک معمولی سی رقم (کمیشن) سے تعمیر کی گئی تھی؟ روایت ہے کہ ماہرِ تعمیرات موسیٰ خان کو مکہ مسجد پر خرچ ہونے والے ہر روپے کے بدلے ایک ‘دمڑی’ ملی تھی، اور انہوں نے اسی رقم سے اس خوبصورت مسجد کو تعمیر کیا۔
ساڑھے تین سو سال سے زیادہ کی تاریخ ہمارے سامنے کھڑی ہے۔ قطب شاہی دور میں 1671 میں تعمیر ہونے والی ‘تولی مسجد’ پچی کاری (stucco work) کے پیچیدہ کام اور لازوال خوبصورتی کا ایک شاہکار ہے۔

The Spanish Mosque, or Masjid Iqbal Ud Daula, is a unique landmark in Begumpet, Hyderabad, and is the only mosque in India featuring Moorish Revival architecture. It was commissioned in 1900 by the Paigah noble Sir Viqar-ul-Umra after he was inspired by the Cathedral–Mosque of Córdoba during his travels in Spain.

ہسپانوی مسجد، یا مسجد اقبال الدولہ، حیدرآباد کے علاقے بیگم پیٹ میں واقع ایک منفرد تاریخی مقام ہے۔ یہ بھارت کی وہ واحد مسجد ہے جو “مورش ریوائیول” (Moorish Revival) طرزِ تعمیر پر بنائی گئی ہے۔ اس کی تعمیر کا حکم 1900 میں پائگاہ کے نواب سر وقار الامراء نے دیا تھا، جو اسپین کے سفر کے دوران وہاں کی مشہور ‘جامع مسجد قرطبہ’ (Cathedral–Mosque of Córdoba) سے متاثر ہوئے تھے۔
