A Special Drunk Driving test was conducted by Cyberabad Traffic Police this weekend, leading to the apprehension of a significant 238 offenders.

A total of 187 two-wheelers, 04 three-wheelers, 45 four-wheelers, 02 Heavy Vehicle.

220 offenders were caught with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging between 35 mg/100 ml and 200 mg/100 ml ,
13 offenders were caught with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging between 200 mg/100 ml and 300 mg/100 ml ,
5 Offender were caught with blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging between 301 mg/100 ml to 500 mg/100 ml.

All those caught will be produced before the H'ble court.

If anybody indulges in driving under the influence of alcohol and cause accidents killing people, such persons will be arrested and sent to jail under section 105 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita2023 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) for which maximum punishment is 10 years of jail and with fine
