Open Letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur (CCPur)
Sir,
I'm compelled to publicly highlight pressing concerns. The Biren Singh government's handling of IDPs in Churachandpur wasn't unexpected β relief (cash/kind) disparities compared to valley IDPs were evident.
We had hopes in the President's Rule (PR) administration. Yet, after almost a year, conditions remain unchanged. Valley IDPs access facilities far more readily β a stark contrast for Churachandpur IDPs under your administration.
1. *Rs. 80/Day Aid Missing*: We're still not receiving this daily IDP support.
2. *Non-Camper IDPs Neglected*: No relief material; many were chased out of camps initially.
3. *Administrative Lethargy*: SDOs/your office seem reluctant visiting deceased IDPs' families. IDPs thus exhaust themselves chasing certificates, medical/financial aid.
4. *RTI Ignored*: Why's the IDP-related RTI (months old) unanswered? Valley RTIs see prompt replies.
5. *Lists Unpublicised*: Why aren't camp/non-camp IDP lists made public?
6. *Schemes Dormant*: *Prefabricated houses*, *PMAY*, *1 lakh financial aid*, *compensation* appear stalled.
7. *Resource Contrast*: With substantial staff strength and resources, addressing 30,000 IDPs shouldn't linger.
8. If a fraction of the enthusiasm evident during PM Modi's visit to Churachandpur were directed toward IDP concerns, many stalled schemes might have seen progress by now.
9. Its high time you catch up your counterparts DC in Valley and Kangpokpi regarding IDP concerns.
THANK YOU
-Sang Suantak
