Current Manipur politics and ST demand - Must Read for all.
Since may 3 , Manipur is facing unfortunate communical conflict between the Kuki and Meitei. Many innocent people from the hills and valleys are facing huge casualties. Many house are burnt and many youths from both the community are force to pick up guns. Some freinds becomes foe due to community and religion lines. People from both the community are having a tramatic experience which will hunt them for the rest of their lives.The demand for ST by the Meitei and the recommendation by the Manipur High Court had raised alarm to the deep thingking UGs, religious fanatics and individual organization from the Kuki community . Rally are held starting from Imphal to kuki dominated areas leading to unfortunate embroil. Many fake news were upload from both the community leading to further communal tension and injury. After blood were spills in the first hour of the conflict, the situation goes from bad to worse until today. The people from both the community especially from the effected areas and those of the relative of dead people are thirst to take revenge for their loves one. This trend must be stop and end soon 🙏.These are the things which we never thought it will happen even in our dreams. Meitei and Kuki had never been in war since time immemorial and should move on together like in the past. Social media influencers from both the community should be advised to abstain from commenting and posting anything which can hurt the sentiments of the people as it can lead to further communal division an unnecessary tension. Every life is precious and every life matters. Manipur was a place where all the forefathers of kuki , meitei and Naga live together if we demand for Seperation, there is goona be reaction from two of the other remaining community. So the idea of separation should be stop and all the community in Manipur must learn again to live harmony respecting one rights another bcause this world is a temporary place and heaven and hell is a place nearby.
In terms of the ST demand by the Meitei community, I personally believe that if the Meitei move their demand for SC instead of ST ,our misunderstanding and comprehension can be solved to a huge extend. Our Naga brothers will also welcome the move of the demand by Meitei for Schedule Caste instead of ST. There is only few differences between SC and SC
Here are some of the advantages a schedule caste has in India?
Some of the benefits given to SC’s and ST’s in India are as under:-

(a) Reservation in appointment in Government jobs. (except in military and judiciary)

(b) Reservation in promotion in Government jobs except in military and judiciary)

(c) Various welfare schemes relating to food security, housing.

(d) Reservation in Government educational institutions for study.

(e) Fee waiver in Government held examinations (both in competitive examinations for recruitment and in competitive examinations for admission in educational institutions).

(f) Age relaxation in appointment and education.

(g) Free coaching for various Civil Services examinations.

(h) Various welfare schemes for benefit of SC’s/St’s.

(i) Making untouchability a criminal offence (Although this is not a special benefit)

(j) Creation of special statutory bodies, i.e., National commission and State Commissions who look into the complaints of discrimination against SC’s and ST’s.

(h) Provide scholarship to college students to those who get min 55% in last qualifying exam on the basis of course of the candidate.

For SC and ST, in Marriage bride and groom gets Rs 1 lakh as incentive inter cast.
There are lot of free government hostels for students and lot of free shelter places for ST and SC community people

BREAKING: TENSION RISE UP IN INDO-MYANMAR BORDER, MYANMAR ARMY JET FIGHTER DROPPED BOMB NEAR MIZORAM BORDER Tensions have risen once again in the Indo-Myanmar border since yesterday as the Myanmar Army and Chinland Defence Force (CDF) exchanged fire next to the Mizoram border. *Two Kuki militants killed, two arrested by Myanmar army near Moreh border* *Imphal (Agency)*: Two alleged Kuki militants who fled from their hideouts in border town Moreh were killed by the Myanmar armies in an operation at a place near the Namphalong market, Myanmar on Friday at around 9 a.m. An equal number of Kuki militants were also arrested in the operation carried out by the Myanmar armies at different hideouts, intelligence sources from across the border said. Namphalong is a stone's throw away (distance) from Moreh gate number two connecting Myanmar. From time to time, the Myanmar Army (MA) has been fighting against the rebel combined forces of the People's Defence Force (Myanmar) (PDF) and Kuki National Army (KNA) (B) since 2021. The armed Kuki people fled from their homestead following relentless operations conducted by the Indian security forces after the killing of the SDPO Moreh (Tengnoupal subdivision) Chintham Anand Kumar on October 31. The attacks against the Kuki militants were intensified in Manipur with the launching of operations at Toulal Village, Laikhot Village, Senjang Village, and Toulal Villages. During the operations, several persons including women and children were verified for finding the killer of the SDPO. The fleeing Kuki militants are currently hiding at the villages of Khangpat, T Minou under the Tamu police station in the Sangaing region of Myanmar, the report said. Meanwhile, around 150 Kuki-Zo people mostly women and children are taking shelter near the gate of the 5 Assam Rifles in Manipur's Tengnoupal district for the second day on Friday. They fled from their homestead in fear of the cordon and search operations, although the operations were carried out with CCTV cameras and other types of equipment for presentation to the general public, an Assam Rifles source said.
