Irungbam Jit scored a half century and Irungbam Thoungamba produced an all-round performance to guide BSC to a 60-run victory against LCC, Lamsang in the ultimate Group A match of the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament.
Thoungamba who added 20 runs and picked two wickets was adjudged man of the match.

Women finished quad event runners up as men ended third in the 34th Senior National Sepaktakraw Championship hosted by Telangana from January 10 to 14.
State women went down 7-15, 9-15 to the All India Police team in the final clash to seal the runners up title.
Earlier in the league stage, Manipur beat Kerala 15-8, 15-13 for the first win, Telangana 15-8, 15-10 for the second win and Uttar Pradesh 7-15, 17-14, 15-11 and qualified for the quarterfinals.
In the quarterfinal, Manipur defeated Odisha 15-10, 15-12 and knocked out SSB 15-12, 17-15 in the semi-final to set up the final date with the All India Police team.
Meanwhile, Manipur men suffered a 13-15, 9-15 semi-final loss to the All India Police team to finish quad event third.
Earlier in the league round, Manipur thumped Uttarakhand 15-1, 15-9, beat Rajasthan 15-6, 15-3 in the second match, beat Telangana 15-3, 15-9 for the third straight win, beat West Bengal 15-9, 15-10 for the fourth win, beat Uttar Pradesh 15-13, 15-5 for the fifth win and Bihar 15-3, 15-6 for 6th win on the trot and qualified for the quarterfinals.
In the quarterfinal, Manipur beat Himachal Pradesh 15-4, 15-9 before going down to the All India Police team in the semi-final match.
Mention may be made that Manipur had won men's team event title, women's team event bronze, men's regu event bronze earlier.

finished the All Age Group Aerobic Gymnastics National Championships 2024-25 hosted by Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of Gymnastics Federation of India with a rich haul of 5 gold and 2 bronze medals.
In the championship that was held from January 10 to 13, Ariha Pangambam and Okram Umajit won gold medals in senior individual events as Mutum Romesh won another gold medal for Manipur in the junior men's individual event.
Following their stellar performances, Manipur's Ariha Pangambam and Mutum Romesh have been shortlisted to represent India at the Suzuki World Cup 2025 by the Gymnastics Federation of India.

Mutum Romesh also won another gold medal in the junior trio event along with Anjori Pangambam and RK Thoithoilembi before securing third gold medal with RK Thoithoilembi in the junior mixed pair event.
Anjori Pangambam also won a bronze medal in the junior women's individual competition as the senior trio of Ariha Pangambam, Huirem Jesika and Okram Umajit settled for the other bronze medal. The team were led by coach Pangambam Akhelo and manager Thokchom Pingky.

YWC, Langthabal emerged Group B winners even as they suffered a 14-run loss to YPHU, Lalambung in a crucial league match of the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament.
The result also helped YPHU finish group runners and qualified for the quarterfinals alongside YWC-L.
Jinta Irengbam of YPHU, who shone with both the bat and ball, was adjudged man of the match.

will play Andhra Pradesh in the men's quad event quarterfinal in the 34th Senior National Sepaktakraw Championship being hosted by Telangana at Hanumakonda Indoor Stadium in Warangal.
Manipur who opened their account against Uttarakhand with a 15-1, 15-9 win went on to beat Rajasthan 15-6, 15-3 in the second match before beating hosts Telangana 15-3, 15-9 for the third straight win. Manipur continued the group stage winning streak by beating West Bengal 15-9, 15-10 before beating Uttar Pradesh 15-13, 15-5 and Bihar 15-3, 15-6 for 6th win on the trot.

Meanwhile, Manipur defeated Kerala 15-8, 15-13 for the first win in the women's quad event before beating hosts Telangana 15-8, 15-10 for the second straight victory.
Notably, Manipur had won the team event title for men and while women finished with a bronze medal.
Manipur had also made a third place finish in the men's regu event as women's suffered quarterfinal exit.

Manipur regu team suffered semi-final exit in the ongoing 34th Senior National Sepaktakraw Championship as women ended their campaign in the quarterfinal.
Manipur regu team managed to dominate the league stage by defeating the All India Police team, Gujarat, Nagaland, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand (walkover win) before defeating SSB in straight sets in the quarterfinal.
They however lost 15-10, 7-15, 13-15 in the semi-final to Delhi in the semi-final to finish third.
Meanwhile, the women's regu team suffered a 17-14, 12-15, 13-15 in the quarterfinal to the All India Police team.
Earlier in the league stage, Manipur defeated Goa, Haryana, Maharashtra and West Bengal in straight sets and got walkover wins against Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh to qualify for the quarterfinals.
The day also saw Manipur men's quad team opening their winning account by defeating Uttarakhand 15-1, 15-9.
