AMPA Observes World Physical Therapy Day 2026
The All Manipur Physiotherapist Association (AMPA) observed World Physical Therapy Day on 8 September 2026 at the Okshongbung Upper Primary School Relief Camp and the Senior Citizens' Home at Kumbi Terakhong, Bishnupur District, Manipur.

The theme for World Physical Therapy Day 2026 is “The Role of Physiotherapy and Physical Activity in the Prevention, Management, and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke.”

The observance aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of physiotherapy and physical activity in promoting health, preventing diseases, improving mobility, and supporting rehabilitation and independence among people of all ages.

AMPA TO PROVIDE SERVICES ACROSS MANIPUR ON PHYSICAL THERAPY DAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2026

IMPHAL, September 6, 2026: The All Manipur Physiotherapist Association (AMPA) has announced a series of free physiotherapy and health awareness initiatives across Manipur to mark World Physical Therapy Day on September 8, 2026.

The observance will focus on the theme “Stroke and Cardiovascular Disease.”

As part of the programme, AMPA will organise a One-Day Free Physiotherapy and Health Awareness Camp at the Senior Citizen Home, Terakhong, Kumbi, and the Okshabung High School Relief Camp, Moirang, Bishnupur District.

The camp will provide free physiotherapy consultations and health awareness services, with a special focus on the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of stroke and cardiovascular diseases. Orthopaedic aids will also be distributed to deserving and needy beneficiaries.

In addition, AMPA has called upon physiotherapists, physiotherapy clinics, rehabilitation centres, and the physiotherapy departments of hospitals across all districts of Manipur to provide free physiotherapy OPD services on September 8, 2026, in observance of World Physical Therapy Day.

The Association has appealed to all members of the physiotherapy community, clinic owners, rehabilitation centres, and hospital authorities to extend their wholehearted cooperation and actively participate in this important public health initiative.

Through this statewide initiative, AMPA aims to raise public awareness about the crucial role of physiotherapy in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of stroke and cardiovascular diseases, while ensuring that essential physiotherapy services reach those in need.

AMPA & REST IN PEACE 🙏

Hon'ble Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand honour and Respect to Hon'ble (Late)Vungzagin Valte, Thalon AC MLA, Manipur .

He visited a sick Yumnam Khemchand, the current CM of Manipur, back in 2020.

About a week ago, on 8th February, CM Yumnam Khemchand also visited Mr. Valte, who was on his sickbed due to the injuries he sustained.

Hon'ble Vungzagin Valte has left this troubled world and departed for a more peaceful rest, after enduring much suffering in his final days on this earth.

Whatever their differences may have been, their actions have reminded us that humanity still exists.
