On This Day, 21 September 1949: Maharaja Bodhachandra Singh Signed the Manipur Merger Agreement Under Duress.
Though the Instrument of Accession Was Signed in September, the Administration Was Formally Transferred on 15 October 1949, Merging the Princely State of Manipur into the Indian Union as a Part C State.
