Hello everyone!
I am Dr.Naorem Thoinu, the founder of Yai Publications. I hold a Ph.D in History from Manipur University. I have done my M.Phil in International Relations and M.A in Modern History from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Also,a graduate from Lady Sri Ram College, Delhi University. I have many papers published to my credit in international journals and I hold Junior Research Fellowship (JRF/NET), 2012 in the subject History.
I was first introduced to teaching at Manipur University M.A history classes as I assisted three professors under the JRF requirements. Many people asked me why I didn't take up a government job despite having the necessary qualifications s. All I reply - I have never lobbied for a job. If there are any candidates, who are more capable than me please choose the candidate!
Yai Publications is very dear to me as it is named after my son Yaiyoiba. I started this venture in August, 2025 as I have been in this industry for the past few years. I saw the potential among the youths which largely remains untapped and I wanted to discover the hidden talents so I started Yai Publications. Another problem are the literary organisations which failed to reach out to the masses thereby maintaining the 'elite' tag becoming a barrier for talented writers. Each and everyone is welcome in Yai Publications given the criteria that one has to be honest, hard working and a little dose of sacrifice for the downtrodden people of our land.
Yai Publications works beyond race, religion, community, caste, creed as it believes 'humanity' should be the religion of all.
The team at Yai Publications are equally clear headed and accommodate any new client in a professional way. As for my part, I handle the clients, manage the nitty-gritty of book launch, clients preferences and all the scripts passed through me to the Chief editor for her part. I handle the printing and sales part as of now.
So, to all the team members I owe a great deal to you for the love and support you have given to the publishing house. It means a lot to me.Let's make our thoughts materialize into actual reality and be the beacon of hope for the writers and people at large. Kudos!
