धोलावीरा की पत्थरों से बनी ड्रेनेज प्रणाली

यह संरचना धोलावीरा की पत्थरों से बनी ड्रेनेज प्रणाली का हिस्सा है, जिसमें पानी की निकासी के लिए बड़े पत्थरों का उपयोग किया गया है। ऊपर जो चौड़ा पत्थर रखा है, वह "slab covering कहलाता है जो पानी की निकासी की सुरंग (underground drain) को ढकने के लिए प्रयोग किया गया था। यह दिखाता है कि उस समय भी इंजीनियरिंग और नगर नियोजन बहुत विकसित थे, धोलावीरा में वर्षा जल संग्रहण, जलाशयों का निर्माण और नालियों के माध्यम से निकासी की जटिल व्यवस्था थी। यह सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता के अन्य स्थलों की तुलना में अधिक परिष्कृत मानी जाती है।
ड्रेनेज और भवनों के निर्माण में बड़े आकार के चुने हुए पत्थरों का उपयोग किया गया था, जो उस समय की तकनीकी दक्षता को दर्शाता है। यह प्रणाली दिखाती है कि लोग उस समय सफाई और स्वच्छता के महत्व को समझते थे
