Bengaluru | Crime News | July 2, 2025 | Former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, was given a life sentence for r**e by a Bengaluru special court. A 48-year-old woman's accusations that she was assaulted twice in 2021 led the court to find him guilty.

Prajwal Revanna, the former Hassan MP, was given a harsh prison sentence for the rest of his natural life by the Special Court in Bengaluru. On Friday, the same court found him guilty of r**e. Before the verdict was revealed, Revanna had a chance to speak in court. Following his court appearance, Prajwal asserted that all of this was a part of a plot.

"After being elected to a one-term term as a Member of Parliament, I performed well. When I was an MP, I was never accused of r**e. Prior to the elections, all of the accusations were made. This was my sole error; I grew quickly in politics," Prajwal stated in court.
