𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗲: A shocking theft incident has once again raised concerns about 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 in the city. On the night of 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at around 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠, thieves allegedly stole a 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 from the 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 in Indore.
According to information received, the entire incident was captured on 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀. The footage reportedly shows the accused arriving at the location, 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿, and taking away the motorcycle. What has surprised many residents is the confidence with which the thieves carried out the crime. There appeared to be 𝗻𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗻𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿, and no apparent concern about being caught on camera.
The incident raises several uncomfortable questions. If criminals can 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆, damage a glass entrance, and steal a vehicle in a busy urban area despite 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, what message does that send to ordinary citizens?
Residents are now asking whether the 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗮𝘄 is gradually disappearing among criminals. Why did the accused seem so confident? Were there 𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀 in the area at that time? Has CCTV surveillance become merely a tool for 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 rather than 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺?
