Kimin, June 13: A Christian Father was allegedly wrongfully restrained by three men at Tadar Happa village under Kakoi Circle in Papum Pare district on Saturday morning, triggering a swift response from the Kimin Police.

According to information received, the Father was travelling in his Bolero vehicle towards Lower Jumi at around 8:00 AM when three men stopped his vehicle at Tadar Happa. The men reportedly questioned him about his destination and identity. The Father cooperated and produced his identification documents, including his Inner Line Permit (ILP). However, the trio allegedly took control of the vehicle and prevented him from continuing his journey.

As news of the incident spread, local residents informed the police. Acting promptly, the Kimin Police launched a search operation and reached the location within a short period.

Speaking to The ForeFront, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kimin Police Station said that the police received information about the incident at around 8:30 AM. Upon reaching Tadar Happa village, police personnel located the vehicle and found the Father along with one of the accused individuals at the spot.

The vehicle, the Father, and the suspect were brought to Kimin Police Station for further inquiry. Subsequently, the remaining two men allegedly involved in the incident were also taken into police custody.

Police sources informed that the three individuals have admitted to their actions and reportedly stated that they were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

All three accused are currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway

FIR Lodged Over Geku Incident; Investigation Underway

Yingkiong, June 13, 2026: An FIR has been lodged by MLA Oni Panyang at Yingkiong Police Station in connection with the incident that took place in Geku on June 8, 2026.

According to the complaint, several serious offences have been alleged, including criminal trespass, vandalism, theft, assault, molestation, attempt to murder, and criminal intimidation.

The FIR was officially registered on June 11, and the matter is now under investigation by the police. Authorities have begun examining the allegations and collecting evidence related to the incident.

Officials stated that appropriate legal action will be taken in accordance with the law after a thorough investigation. The police have urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with the investigation process.

Five Killed in Tragic Bolero Accident Near Seppa on NH-13

Seppa, June 13: In a tragic road accident, five persons lost their lives after a Bolero vehicle met with an accident along National Highway-13, about 8 kilometres from Seppa on the Itanagar route, police said on Saturday. According to police sources, an anonymous telephone call was received at around 8:15 AM, informing authorities about the mishap involving a Bolero carrying five occupants. Acting promptly, a police team rushed to the accident site to verify the information and initiate necessary action. During the preliminary inquiry, it was revealed that the occupants had attended the Friday Market at Rilloh on June 12 and were returning to Seppa when the accident occurred. Investigators suspect that the mishap took place between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Friday, as the vehicle had reportedly left Rilloh at around 5:00 PM.

Upon reaching the spot, police found four occupants dead inside the vehicle. One critically injured survivor was rescued and immediately shifted to the District Hospital, Seppa, for treatment. However, despite the efforts of medical personnel, the injured individual later succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to five.
The deceased have been identified as:
Md. Bulbul Hussain, son of Md. Abdul Hai
Abdul Hussain (21), son of Abdul Jalil
Nur Hussain (40), son of Rustam Ali
Amjat Ali (41), son of Abdul Hai
Saidul Ali, son of Akup Ali
All the victims were residents of Bhoruluwa village under North Lakhimpur district of Assam.
Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.

The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the bereaved families and the local community, with many expressing grief over the loss of lives in the unfortunate accident.

The People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) has opposed the implementation of the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act (APFRA), 1978, and urged the state government to convene a special session of the Legislative Assembly to discuss the issue.
