Kamle MLA Rottom Tebin hosted an interaction programme at Dollungmukh to felicitate newly elected North Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka, reaffirming the longstanding ties between Arunachal Pradesh's Kamle district and Assam's North Lakhimpur.
The programme was attended by local leaders, Panchayati Raj representatives, and residents from both sides of the inter-state boundary.
Speaking on the occasion, Manab Deka said both Arunachal Pradesh and Assam have constituted committees to resolve the long-pending boundary dispute and expressed confidence that an amicable settlement would be reached soon.
Rottom Tebin, a member of the boundary resolution committee, reiterated his commitment to resolving the decades-old issue through coordinated efforts with both state governments.
Both MLAs said resolving the boundary dispute would boost connectivity, infrastructure, and overall development in the border areas while strengthening cooperation and peaceful coexistence between the two neighbouring districts.
