Students Gain Career Insights at Joint Interaction and Motivational Talk Program in Kanubari
KANUBARI, July 16, 2025 – A highly successful Interaction and Motivational Talk Program, co-organized by the NSS Unit of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kanubari and the Postgraduate NSS Unit of Dibrugarh University, was held today at the ADC Conference Hall in Kanubari. The event, which commenced at 10:00 a.m., offered students a valuable opportunity to engage with and learn from accomplished professionals.
The program was a joint initiative led by Lok Bahadur Thapa, PGT (Physics) and Program Officer of the GHSS Kanubari NSS Unit, and Joseph Wangjen, an NSS Volunteer from Dibrugarh University. The hall was filled with enthusiastic students from GHSS Kanubari, St. Savio School, and various colleges and universities across Arunachal Pradesh, all eager to gain insights into their future career paths.
The day’s proceedings began with the arrival of guests and dignitaries, followed by a ceremonial opening song, performed by students and NSS volunteers. A warm welcome address was delivered by NSS Volunteer Joseph Wangjen.
The first session featured Shri Y. Meena, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kanubari. Following his felicitation, Shri Meena delivered an impactful keynote speech, sharing valuable insights and words of inspiration with the young audience. A dynamic question-and-answer session followed, during which students actively sought guidance on their career goals.
A special session was then dedicated to guest speaker Srishti Gupta, whose impressive background was introduced: a 2017 graduate of IIT Delhi, with five years of experience in consulting and investing, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and her current role at an education-based startup. Her keynote address was a major highlight of the day, and the session concluded with an engaging Q&A, during which she answered a wide range of student questions.
The final session was led by Shri D. Gumja, APPSC, Superintendent of Police, Longding. After a formal felicitation, the SP delivered an inspiring keynote address, offering students advice on discipline, leadership, and public service. The session concluded with a lively interaction, where students explored the SP’s professional journey and career insights.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by NSS Volunteer Lihhai Wangjen, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all distinguished guests, participants, and the organizing teams. The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
