🚨 APST CERTIFICATE RE-VERIFICATION: HIGH POWER COMMITTEE TO HOLD 2ND SITTING IN ITANAGAR

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh’s High Power Committee will hold its 2nd sitting on September 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Itanagar.

The committee will deliberate on measures for the re-verification of Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificates and is expected to examine and recommend necessary steps to ensure proper verification of APST certificates.

Committee members have also been requested to submit their suggestions in both hard and soft copies.

Sol Dodum Resigns as Chairman of ST Bachao Andolan Committee

Sol Dodum has announced his resignation from the post of Chairman, ST Bachao Andolan Committee. In his statement, he thanked his team members, supporters and well-wishers for their trust and cooperation.

Despite stepping down, he stated that his commitment towards the welfare and rights of the people will remain strong.

BMya Condemns Alleged Sl182er and Threats Against Millo Ambo

The Bamin Michi Youth Association (BMYA) has strongly condemned the alleged slandering and threats directed at Millo Ambo by the Save Arunachal Youth Organization (SAYO).

BMYA expressed concern over the statements and warned that Millo Ambo should not be targeted or intimidated for his stand on issues concerning Arunachal Pradesh.

The association further stated that if anything happens to Millo Ambo, responsibility should be fixed on those allegedly issuing threats against him.

BMYA also reaffirmed its support for Millo Ambo, stating that it would stand by him in the face of such threats.

The association urged all concerned to exercise restraint and resolve differences through dialogue rather than threats or personal attacks.

Omyu, traditionally known among the Nyishi community, is a highly toxic Himalayan plant known for its striking purple, helmet-shaped flowers. Traditionally, its poisonous root/tuber was used in hunting, particularly by applying its toxic substance to arrow tips to help bring down wild animals.

Beyond hunting, Omyu reflects the traditional knowledge and survival practices passed down through generations. However, the plant is extremely poisonous, and improper handling or ingestion can be dangerous or fatal.
