The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), under the aegis of the National Commission for Women (NCW), begins a four-day session on Women Empowerment at its office premises in Pappu Hill, Naharlagun, from September 23 to 26. The programme was held to mark the auspicious occasion of Navratri, with the theme “Women Entrepreneurship, Motherhood and Health, Leadership and Justice, Guidance and Honour.”
The sessions brought together women achievers, entrepreneurs, and leaders to share their experiences and inspire participants. Resource persons included Techi Anna, owner of Poma Bamboo Processing Unit, and Tage Kanya, owner of CK Bliss, who spoke on women entrepreneurship and their journey of turning challenges into opportunities.
APSCW Chairperson Yalem Taga Burang and Vice-Chairperson Tsering Dolma attended the event and interacted with the participants. They emphasized the importance of empowering women in all spheres of life—economic, social, and political—while upholding justice, honour, and dignity.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from women of different walks of life, who engaged in discussions on entrepreneurship, leadership, health, and motherhood. The sessions also provided guidance on achieving gender equality and highlighted the pivotal role of women in building a just and progressive society.
The event concluded with a call for collective efforts to nurture women’s leadership, strengthen their entrepreneurial spirit, and ensure equal opportunities for all.
