Yesterday (on 24th October, 2024), AFC representatives met with Secretary, Information & Public Relations (IPR), GoAP, to discuss concerns surrounding the IFFI Goa 2024 delegation. The Secretary confirmed that he had personally forwarded an updated list, incorporating two additional filmmakers (budding filmmakers/ film students) from Arunachal Pradesh.
We extend our gratitude to Secretary IPR for considering our request.

*Our Objective:*
AFC's commitment has always been to promote fair representation and welfare for the state's filmmakers, who rarely receive such opportunities. Losing two seats significantly affects this representation, and our stance focuses on holding agencies accountable to their guidelines for the benefit of our community, not targeting individuals. AFC remains dedicated to promoting the growth and recognition of Arunachal's filmmakers, ensuring our voices are heard nationally and internationally.
We appreciate the community's support in ensuring our filmmakers' voices are heard and respected. Let's continue to advocate together for a thriving film culture in Arunachal Pradesh.
