Arunachal Prime News|| OPERATION DAWN 2.0 :: DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED BY SEPPA POLICE.

In a well-coordinated late-night operation on 30th October 2025, a police team led by DySP (HQ) Shri Mibom Yirang, OC PS Seppa, SI Dumbang Taching, SI Dukhum Abo, Ct C.Pait, Ct J.Wangpan, Ct Nabam Ama, Ct Tamo Doilang, L/Ct N.Aran, Ct Tsering Chombey and Ct Tenzin Phuntso apprehended a habitual drug peddler Anand Yangfo, from Rang Village, Seppa.

The team acted swiftly on credible source information, conducting the raid under challenging conditions in the dark hours. The operation led to the recovery of approximately 44.5 grams of suspected he**in, along with cash proceeds of the drug trade and other incriminating materials.

Seppa Police expresses sincere appreciation to Smti. Elizabeth Dupak, APCS, Executive Magistrate, and Miss Mina Doka, Vice President, APADA (Women Wing), East Kameng Unit, for their crucial support and presence during the night operation.

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and investigation is underway to identify and apprehend all peddlers and users linked with the accused, as part of East Kameng Policeโ€™s intensified drive against narcotics.

East Kameng Police reaffirms its commitment to a drug-free and safe society through consistent enforcement and strong community partnership.

NAHARLAGUN, Oct 27:
Senior IAS officer Talo Potom surrendered before the police at around 7:30 am on Monday and has been formally arrested in connection with the alleged su***de case of Gomchu Yekar.

Confirming the development, SP Naharlagun Dr. Nyelam Nega said Potom is now under police custody for further investigation.

Assamโ€“Arunachal Border, Decision to Halt Night Bus Services to Roing Indefinitely

At the Assamโ€“Arunachal border in Sadiya, night bus drivers staged a protest, announcing an indefinite suspension of services to Roing in Arunachal Pradesh.

The drivers alleged that immediately after entering Arunachal, certain groups and organizations demand illegal โ€œdonationsโ€ (extortion money).

In protest, the Night Bus Driversโ€™ Association staged a demonstration at the Shantipur check gate on the Assamโ€“Arunachal border in Sadiya. They also urged the Dibang Valley district administration of Arunachal Pradesh to intervene and resolve the matter.

They warned that unless the issue is resolved, night bus services to Roing in Dibang Valley district would remain indefinitely suspended.
