The Itanagar Traffic Wardens(ITW) sit-in dharna at the Tennis Court of Indira Gandhi Park on September 24, 2025. As of today, the 26th of September, they are on the 3rd day of this protest.

They are protesting to demand their induction into the Arunachal Pradesh Home Guard service after serving in Itanagar since 2012, often in challenging conditions and with minimal pay. Their demand is grounded in the government's prior assurance and a cabinet decision to induct them into 200 sanctioned Home Guard posts, which has yet to be fulfilled, causing financial and emotional hardship for the wardens.
