BJP Arunachal Pradesh Marks World Environment Day with Plantation Drive at Government Secondary School, Chimpu
Itanagar, June 5, 2026: BJP Arunachal Pradesh marked World Environment Day with a grand plantation drive at Government Secondary School, Chimpu, Itanagar, reaffirming its commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The programme was led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chowna Mein, and BJP State Unit President Shri Kaling Moyong, along with party leaders,students, and local residents. Hundreds of saplings were planted during the event to promote a greener and healthier Arunachal Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of protecting nature and encouraged citizens, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts. He also highlighted the 12 years of transformative governance under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the significance of initiatives such as “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” in fostering environmental awareness and responsibility.
The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the need for collective responsibility in preserving the state’s rich natural heritage for future generations.
The plantation drive reflects BJP Arunachal Pradesh’s continued dedication to environmental sustainability and aligns with the vision of creating a cleaner, greener, and more eco-friendly state.
The party urges all citizens to contribute towards environmental protection by planting trees and adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives.
