One More Body Recovered in NEEPCO Colony Flash Flood Tragedy; Four Still Missing
Pitapool , June 24: In the ongoing search and rescue operation following the devastating flash flood and debris flow that struck NEEPCO Colony in Keyi Panyor district on Wednesday morning, rescue teams have recovered another body from the affected area.
The deceased has been identified as Nirmala Gupta (35), a teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), NEEPCO, Yazali.

Meanwhile, four persons are still reported missing, and intensive search operations are continuing. Teams of the NDRF, SDRF, Police, and District Administration are conducting rescue and recovery efforts in and around the NEEPCO Colony and downstream areas.
The flash flood, triggered by extremely heavy rainfall and debris flow in the Panyor river catchment, caused widespread destruction in the colony, washing away several houses and damaging infrastructure. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant as rescue operations continue.
