A major statement from China has emerged amidst the tense situation between India and Pakistan over water. Victor Gao, Vice President of the Center for China and Globalization in Beijing, has hinted at blocking the water flowing to India from the Brahmaputra river.
Gao expressed displeasure over India's stance on the Indus Waters Treaty, stating, "Don't treat others the way you don't want to be treated yourself." Gao clearly indicated that if water to its friend Pakistan is stopped, China could also block water to India.
