Proud moment for all Indians 🇮🇳🚀
After a 40-day journey starting from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Chandrayaan-3 mission has landed successfully.
The Vikram lander made a soft lunar landing at 6.04 PM IST on August 23.
The feat that is making entire India 🇮🇳 proud.
• India is the first country to land on Moon's South Pole.
• The 4th country to touch Moon's surface.
• On July 14th 2023 at 2:35 pm, it was launched from India and today 23rd August 2023 in the sundown, it softly landed on the Moon.
• Let's explore the Journey between the Launch and Touchdown:
A.) July 15th to July 25th
Chandrayaan-3 completes orbit around Earth.
B.) August 1st
ISRO has injected the spacecraft into the translunar orbit.
C.) August 5th
Chandrayaan-3 has been successfully inserted into the lunar orbit.
D.) August 6th to August 16th
Chandrayaan-3's orbit is reduced gradually from 170 km x 4313 km around the Moon to 153 km x 163 km.
• In the speech by an ISRO Scientist, one of them told - It's been 3 years of insane efforts, handling criticism, testing, retesting and evaluation 🙌🏻🔥
He added "We've been living, sleeping, eating, breathing Chandrayaan for the last 4 years"
