🚨 Nearly 400 Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims are out of contact after a flash flood struck Nepal’s Rasuwagadhi area near the Tibet border.

Around 390 pilgrims were scheduled to cross into Tibet, including 93 Nepali nationals. Most of the remaining pilgrims are Indian, according to tour operators.

Rescue and communication efforts are underway as authorities assess the situation.

New routes include:

🇵🇹 Newark → Terceira, Azores

Most services start between March and June 2027, with Newark driving much of the expansion.

United is also adding Los Angeles–Osaka, Washington Dulles–Milan and Denver–Paris, while restarting San Francisco–Tel Aviv.

🇹🇭 Thailand Proposes 450-Baht Tourist Entry Fee for Foreign Visitors

Thailand is moving ahead with a proposal to charge 450 baht (around ₹1,200) from every foreign visitor, regardless of whether they arrive by air, land or sea.

For Indian travellers, the proposed fee would be an additional travel cost, but it is not yet in effect.

💳 Payment options may include airline tickets, an official website, an app and entry kiosks
🪪 Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) will remain free

The money is proposed to support tourism infrastructure, destination development, safety and tourist insurance.

The proposal still needs public consultation, committee review, Cabinet approval and publication in the Royal Gazette.

🇮🇳 Indian Passport Services in UAE: Walk-In Facility Opens

The Embassy of India in the UAE has introduced walk-in passport services for select applicants at all 16 Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) operated by Al Hind Global Services LLC.

Eligible categories include:

• Tatkal passport applications
• Newborn cases
• Emergency Certificates
• Senior citizens aged 60+
• People of determination

🕘 Walk-in hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📍 Available: All 16 ICACs across the UAE

Applicants can still book an appointment online and are encouraged to do so where possible to avoid long waiting times.

**🇲🇿 Mozambique Restores Mandatory ETA for Visa-Free Travellers**

Planning a trip to Mozambique? There's an important update.

From July 31, 2026, Mozambique has reinstated its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for travellers from 29 visa-exempt countries after fixing its online portal.

✈️ Here's what you need to know:
✅ ETA is mandatory for eligible visa-free travellers
✅ Apply at least 48 hours before departure
✅ Valid for one entry and a 30-day stay
✅ Costs around US$48

🇮🇳 Indian passport holders are not eligible for the ETA and must continue applying for a Mozambique eVisa before travel.

Travelling without the required ETA or eVisa could result in denied boarding or entry, so don't leave it until the last minute.
