What if we told you that a small town in Rajasthan near Jaipur still carries a fascinating chapter of India’s railway past?

Welcome to Bandikui — a town most of us know as a railway junction, but rarely stop to discover.

In April 1874, the railway line connecting Bandikui Junction with Agra Fort opened, changing the story of this little town forever. During the colonial era, Bandikui developed into an important railway settlement, with British railway officers and their families living around the junction.

Pic- This engine is a silent reminder of another time.
