मिलिए श्रीमती एस. भाग्यम शर्मा से—एक ऐसी महिला, जिन्होंने 28 वर्षों तक एक समर्पित स्कूल शिक्षिका के रूप में अपना जीवन बिताया। लेकिन उनकी असली साहित्यिक यात्रा शुरू हुई 65 वर्ष की उम्र में, जब ज्यादातर लोग रुकने का सोचते हैं, तब इन्होंने एक नई शुरुआत की।
रिटायरमेंट के बाद खुद को सक्रिय और व्यस्त रखने के लिए उन्होंने कई अलग-अलग काम किए। और इसी तलाश के दौरान, उन्होंने अपने भीतर छुपी एक लेखिका को पहचाना—एक हिंदी कहानीकार, एक लेख लेखिका।
65 की उम्र में शुरू हुआ यह सफर आज उनकी अस्सी की उम्र तक निरंतर जारी है। उन्होंने सिर्फ अखबारों के लिए लेख लिखे, बल्कि बच्चों और बड़ों के लिए कहानियां भी रचीं। साथ ही, उन्होंने तमिल साहित्य को हिंदी में अनुवाद कर एक नई पहचान दी।
उनकी इस अद्भुत यात्रा में उन्हें कई सांस्कृतिक पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया है—और यह सिलसिला अभी जारी है।
मान-सम्मान : वेणु, महाश्वेता देवी, साहित्य-गौरव, हिन्दी भाषा विभूषण, स्वयं सिद्धा आदि विभिन्न सम्मान मिला। 2017 वुमन ऑफ 2017 का जोनल अवार्ड मिला । राज.की मुख्य मंत्री वसुंधरा जी से यह सम्मान प्राप्त करने का सौभाग्य मिला।राजस्थान साहित्य अकादमी अवार्ड, बाल साहित्य अकादमी अवार्ड, अनुवाद परिषद अवार्ड 2025 |
Meet Mrs. S. Bhagyam Sharma — a woman who devoted 28 years of her life as a dedicated school teacher. But her true literary journey began at the age of 65, when most people think of slowing down, and she chose to begin a new chapter instead.
After retirement, she explored various activities to keep herself active and engaged. During this journey of self-discovery, she recognized the writer hidden within her — a Hindi storyteller and essayist.
What began at the age of 65 continues actively even today, well into her eighties. She not only wrote articles for newspapers, but also created stories for children and adults alike. Alongside this, she earned recognition for translating Tamil literature into Hindi, building a bridge between two rich literary traditions.
Her remarkable journey has been honored with several cultural awards, and the list continues to continues to grow. She has received honors such as the Venu Award, Mahashweta Devi Award, Sahitya Gaurav, Hindi Bhasha Vibhushan, and Swayam Siddha Award. In 2017, she received the “Woman of 2017” Zonal Award from Vasundhara Raje. Rajasthan sahitya academy award,Baal sahitya academy award, Anuvaad Parishad Award2025.
