Since 2005, he has served as Head of Music and Sound Department on multiple feature films. Alongside his industry work, he is a respected music educator and mentor, delivering lectures, workshops, and structured training in Indian Classical, Western Contemporary, and Film Music at leading institutions and international forums. Some melodies do not need words to express devotion. They simply need breath.

My flute rendition of “Tumhi Mere Mandir, Tumhi Meri Puja” — the timeless 1965 Hindi film classic from Khandan, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, composed by Ravi, and written by Rajendra Krishan.

What makes this melody so enduring is its unusual meeting of romance and devotion. The lyric turns love into something almost sacred, while the composition carries that feeling with remarkable simplicity and grace.

For this version, I have allowed the flute to become the voice — carrying the melody through breath, phrasing and silence rather than lyrics.

A small tribute to the golden era of Hindi film music, Lata Mangeshkar, Ravi, Rajendra Krishan, and the timeless musical language of Indian cinema.

If you enjoy instrumental music, old Hindi songs, Bollywood melodies, flute music and Indian film music, I hope this rendition brings back a little of that old-world feeling.
