Shagun Puri Shanu filed a case against the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, MTP and Building Inspector.
Jalandhar (PUNJAB JOURNAL) Social worker Shagun Puri Shanu has filed a case in the court of Honorable Lokpal Punjab against the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, MTP and Building Inspector. It is worth mentioning that for a long time Shagun Puri Shanu had made a written complaint to the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar regarding the illegal encroachment on the road by the people in JP Nagar, Jalandhar, but no action was taken by Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gautam Jain, MTP Iqbal Singh Randhawa and Building Inspector Ajay Kumar. Shagun Puri Shanu told that in this regard, orders had been given to the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar by the office of the Honorable Chief Minister and the Chief Town Planner had also issued orders in this regard, but the officials of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar did not follow the orders and suppressed the matter, due to which Shagun Puri Shanu had to take this case to the Honorable Lokpal. The Honorable Lokpal Punjab took cognizance of this issue and the Notice has been issued to Municipal commissioner Gautam jain, Iqbal Singh Randhawa and Building Inspector Ajay Kumar. Shagun Puri Shanu said that the road of JP Nagar which is 60 feet wide as per the records of the Municipal Corporation is actually only 20 feet wide and the rest of the road is illegally occupied by the people of JP Nagar, which is completely illegal and is a violation of the guidelines issued by the Honorable Supreme Court.
