Ajaz Jan MLA Poonch Appreciates Indian Army’s Role During Operation Sindhoor, Commends All Brigades and GOC, Criticizes SRTC for Negligence, and Thanks Hon’ble CM for Relief Measures

Today, in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mr. Ajaz Jan, MLA Poonch, expressed deep appreciation for the Indian Army for their exceptional bravery, discipline, and professionalism during Operation Sindhoor. He said the Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan’s aggression while ensuring the safety and security of the local population in the border areas.

Mr. Jan extended heartfelt gratitude to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) and all brigades operating in the Poonch sector, including the 93 Infantry Brigade, for their tireless efforts, sacrifices, and continuous support to the people during times of crisis. He said that the people of Poonch feel secure because of the Army’s round-the-clock vigilance and humanitarian efforts.

While lauding the Army, Mr. Jan strongly criticized the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) for its failure to provide buses to evacuate residents from frontline shelling areas to safer zones. He pointed out that SRTC deployed vehicles in areas where not a single bullet was fired, leaving the people in actual danger zones to evacuate themselves using personal vehicles and local resources. He condemned this gross mismanagement and possible misuse of funds, urging the Hon’ble Speaker to order a high-level inquiry through top agencies to fix responsibility.
Mr. Jan also thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister for visiting the affected areas of Poonch and for directing the concerned authorities to ensure timely relief and rehabilitation for the affected families. He urged that the pending bunker project for border residents be immediately approved, so that the people of Poonch can protect their loved ones during times of cross-border shelling or war-like situations.
He also appreciated the youth of Poonch for their courage and compassion in helping people reach safer areas using their own vehicles and resources.

Bee Enn College of Nursing, Chak Bhalwal, proudly hosted the 1st State Level Conference on “Hospital Management Information System (HMIS)” on 28th October 2025 — a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing digital excellence in healthcare. The conference was meticulously organized by the M.Sc. Nursing (2nd Year) students under the dynamic guidance of the faculty and administration.
The inaugural ceremony was honoured by the presence of distinguished Chief Guests — Dr. Deepak Kumar, Medical Superintendent, State Cancer Institute, and Dr. Sandeep Singh, Registrar, J&K Nursing Council. Their inspiring words set the tone for a day focused on innovation and transformation in healthcare technology.

The event was duly approved by the President, J&K Nursing Council, and participants were awarded 2 Continuing Education Credit Hours.

राजौरी शहर बना कूड़े का ढेर — मुन्सिपल काउंसिल पर लापरवाही के आरोप

राजौरी शहर के नागरिकों ने मुन्सिपल काउंसिल राजौरी पर गंभीर लापरवाही का आरोप लगाया है। शहर में पिछले 20 वर्षों से ठोस कचरे का उचित निस्तारण न होने के कारण पूरा राजौरी शहर कूड़े का ढेर बन गया है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि प्रशासन की अनदेखी से नदी-नाले प्रदूषित हो चुके हैं और हवा-पानी दूषित होता जा रहा है।

विशेष रूप से बेला बस स्टैंड क्षेत्र में खुले में कूड़ा फेंका जा रहा है, जिसकी ताज़ा तस्वीरें भी सामने आई हैं। स्थानीय निवासियों के अनुसार, कई बार प्रदर्शन और भूख हड़तालें होने के बावजूद अब तक कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं की गई है।

स्थानीय नागरिकों ने प्रदूषण नियंत्रण समिति से मांग की है कि इस मामले में तत्काल जांच की जाए और मुन्सिपल काउंसिल राजौरी के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाए।

एक नागरिक ने कहा “बीस साल से राजौरी शहर को कूड़े का शहर बना दिया गया है। अधिकारी आते हैं और चले जाते हैं, लेकिन यहाँ रहने वालों की कोई नहीं सुनता। हवा और पानी दोनों ज़हर बनते जा रहे हैं।” लोगों का कहना है कि प्रशासन की यह चुप्पी राजौरी के पर्यावरण और नागरिकों के स्वास्थ्य के लिए खतरा बनती जा रही है।
