Dense fog and frigid temperatures continue to grip Kashmir, with Srinagar recording a bone-chilling minus 3.3 degrees Celsius as of yesterday. This biting cold combined with the low visibility caused by the fog is undoubtedly causing significant challenges for residents.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the situation:

Dense fog: Visibility reportedly dropped as low as five meters in Srinagar in the morning, disrupting traffic flow and posing safety concerns for pedestrians and motorists. The fog is expected to persist until December 31st, so be sure to exercise caution and stay updated on weather reports if you're in the area.
Freezing temperatures: With Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir experiencing temperatures well below freezing, the risk of hypothermia and other cold-related illnesses is heightened. It's crucial to wear warm clothing, stay indoors during peak cold hours, and ensure proper heating arrangements are in place.
Impact on daily life: The combination of fog and extreme cold is likely to disrupt normal life in Kashmir. Schools and businesses may be closed or have delayed openings, and transportation services could be affected. Stay informed about local advisories and plan your activities accordingly.
