Jammu University Korfball (Mixed) team clinched Bronze Medal
The University of Jammu Korfball (Mixed) Team once again showed its high performance and grabbed the 3rd position in the All India Inter-University Korfball (Mixed) Tournament 2021-22 organized by the Savtribai Phule Pune University, Pune w.e.f 20th March to 24th March 2022.
Jammu University Korfball (Mixed) Team includes:
Hritik Khullar, Neeraj Manhas, Hritik Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Jagmohan Singh Jamwal, A***n Dev Singh, Ayoush, Pranshu Thakur, Kiran Kour, Manisha Manhas, Roshni Mahajan, Ujala Mahajan, Shivani Sharma, Komal, Sudhashi Khajuria and Lakshika Jamwal. Mr Manjeet Singh and Ms. Sumriti Slathia will accompany the team as Coach and Manager respectively.

University of Jammu beat RTNMU Nagpur by 11-04.
University of Jammu beat Dr. B R Ambedkar University by 09-05.
University of Jammu beat LPU Phagwara by 09-07.
League Matches:
University of Jammu lost to University of Calicut by 08-12
University of Jammu beat MDU Rohtak by 09-05.
University of Jammu lost to Savtribai Phule Pune University, Pune by 08-10.
Ms. Kiran Kour of University of Jammu was adjudged player of the tournament in women section for her extraordinary performance in the whole tournament.
An Interaction-cum-Photo session with the medal winners was organized in the VC secretariat in which Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu was the Chief Guest. Prof. Dhar in his address congratulated the Korfball team and also advised the players that this is not the end of achievement. You must practice hard for achieving silver and gold medals in the coming years. He also lauded the efforts of the Directorate especially Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and his entire team during the past COVID situations.
Prof. Dhar interacted with all the players and team officials and congratulated them as well as Ms. Kiran Kour for these achievements in the presence of Prof. Jasbir Singh, Registrar University of Jammu and Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sh. Ravish Vaid, Sh. Vikas Karlopia, Sh. Manjeet Singh and Ms. Sumriti Slathia.
