Grave tempering of Academic Docs to get MBBS Degree

JAMMU: Numerous students from across India pursuing MBBS and other health-related degrees abroad, particularly in Bangladesh, have been found using forged academic documents to secure admissions.
The shocking scam, not only undermines the credibility of health education but also poses a severe threat to the region’s already strained healthcare system.
Sources said, many Indian students have been tampering with their Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, altering critical details such as the year of passing, academic marks obtained to meet admission criteria for medical/paramedical colleges abroad.
These students, armed with fraudulent credentials, complete their degrees and return to India to practice in healthcare institutions, potentially endangering lives due to their questionable qualifications.
Revealing the documents, one of the students, Abdul Rehman Khan, S/O Umar Khan has tempered his Senior Secondary Examination Marks Card from Board of Secondary School Rajasthan bearing Roll No 2642115.
Producing two Report Cards for the same class, Abdul Rehman Khan has forged his marks secured in different subjects.
This is yet another among the numerous cases where Academic Documents are forged and faked to get admission in Medical Colleges abroad, and return with a Degree and serve in the Healthcare Department in India.
As per the multiple academic documents accessed, blunders have been committed by crooked consultancies so far, and have been successful in fraudulent activities.
The scam reportedly begins with parents desperate to get their children MBBS degrees and is facilitated by unscrupulous consultancies that forge documents for hefty fees.
“These consultancies manipulate marksheets and other records to secure admissions in foreign medical colleges, driven purely by profit,” the Source said.
The Doctors’ Association have taken up the cognizance of the matter and Medical Council of India (MCI) is likely to cancel the Doctor’s License of such fraudulent MBBS degree holders.

Cooperative Movement Key to Farmers Prosperity, Rural Empowerment: Devyani Rana

Mathwar, October 2 – Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Vice President Ms. Devyani Rana today extolled the transformative potential of the cooperative movement, describing it as a cornerstone for revitalizing rural economies and empowering agrarian communities.
Addressing progressive farmers of Block Mathwar during an awareness programme on Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) under the Central Sector Scheme, Ms. Rana characterized cooperatives as a catalyst for collective progress and enduring prosperity.

“Cooperatives epitomize the essence of shared advancement. They convene individuals, consolidate resources, and transmute common challenges into shared opportunities,” Ms. Rana said. “They cultivate an ethos of equity and inclusion, ensuring that development is not an exclusive privilege but a universal right.”

She observed that in recent years the cooperative sector has been accorded unprecedented institutional and policy support by the national leadership. This infusion of vision and resources, she noted, has invigorated grassroots organizations, enabling them to serve as engines of entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and sustainable livelihoods.

Invoking the guiding philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”, Ms. Rana asserted: “These values resonate profoundly with the cooperative spirit. True progress is never the work of solitary endeavor. It is forged in solidarity, sustained by trust, and animated by collective responsibility.”

Ms. Rana lamented that the political exploitation of cooperatives in earlier decades had attenuated their resilience and efficacy, eroding public confidence. “Yet today,” she affirmed, “we witness a renaissance of the cooperative movement, reinvigorated and reimagined as a credible instrument of empowerment and socio-economic mobility.”

On a personal note, Ms. Rana paid homage to her late father, Shri Devender Singh Rana, a steadfast advocate of agrarian welfare. She recalled his pivotal role in laying the institutional foundations for farmer empowerment in Mathwar, including the registration and sanctioning of The Mathwar Farmer Producer Organisation Cooperative Limited. “His vision was unequivocal: that genuine progress must emanate from those who till our soil and sustain our nation. I pledge to advance that vision with fidelity and resolve,” she said.

The event also featured an address by Mr. Vikrant Dogra, Chairman of Unati Agri Allied and Marketing Multi-State Cooperative Society Ltd. and Chairman and CEO of the Jammu and Kashmir Dairy Cooperative Federation Ltd. He delineated the imperative of fortifying farmers’ collectives to cultivate stronger market linkages, augment incomes, and foster sustainable rural development.

Organized under the Central Sector Scheme, the programme was convened by the Jammu & Kashmir Dairy Cooperative Federation Limited (JKDCF), empanelled as a Cluster Based Business Organization (CBBO) with the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).

The day commenced with floral tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries, solemnly affirming their enduring legacy of self-reliance, dignity of labor, and rural upliftment.

Pak shelling hit J&K border villages rebuild, celebrate peace with weddings, festivities

Sajid Raina
Baramulla: Life is fast returning to normal in villages along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border months after suffering heavy damage in Pakistan shelling following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 civilians, mostly tourists dead.
Pertinently, after Indian armed forces destroyed nine terrorist camps deep inside Pakistan and PoK, the neighbouring country resorted to heavy shelling on the civilians in frontier areas leading to loss of lives and widespread damage to property. After 4 days of skirmishes, Pakistan Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) reached out to his counterpart in India and requested for the cessation of hostilities, which led to the truce between the two nations.
Since then, residents told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) life is gradually returning to normal as guns have fallen silent and people are rebuilding their lives and damaged settlements.
Residents of border villages earnestly pray for lasting peace so their communities can grow, prosper, and live without fear after years of conflict and hardship.
Villages including Keran, Machil, Bangus, Tangdhar, Gurez, and Uri in north Kashmir are once again witnessing marriage ceremonies being held in local homes rather than being shifted to safer places, as was the case in previous years.
Farming, schooling, marriages, and sports activities are being carried out normally and without fear.
Razia Begum, a resident of Gurez who recently got married, said families are now able to organise weddings in their native villages. “There was a time when we would stay indoors for days due to firing across the border. Now, people attend weddings in large numbers,” she said.
Farah Jan from Uri, who also recently got married, said that earlier the frequent ceasefire violations made border life uncertain. “People had stopped organising large gatherings, but over the past two years, things have changed,” she said.
In Karnah, Shahbaz Ahmad noted that several weddings have been organised recently with full community participation. “We remember those who lost their lives in the past, but now the atmosphere has changed. People are coming together once again,” he said.
Mehreen Akhtar from Machil recalled how some weddings in the past were disrupted or turned into mourning due to shelling. “We are now seeing weddings with proper arrangements in the villages. Guests are attending without hesitation,” she said.
In Gurez, Junaid Lone said that social gatherings such as marriages, engagements, and other community functions have resumed after a long gap. “The normal routine has returned. People are living without the constant fear that used to dominate our lives,” he said.
Sajad Mir, a farmer from Tangdhar, said farming activities are going on without any disruption. “We are working in our fields as usual, and this season has been smooth for cultivation,” he said.
In Gurez, 17-year-old Adil Lone, who plays cricket with local youth, said sports activities have become a regular part of their routine. “We’re holding local matches and tournaments again. Everyone is taking part actively, and it’s good to see the energy back,” he said
Recently, the government announced a major relief initiative to provide 1,500 free smart homes to families whose houses were damaged in Pakistan shelling earlier this year.
Locals in Poonch said that this initiative will greatly benefit the families most severely affected by the Pak shelling. "We hope the construction process begins at the earliest so that the affected households can receive timely relief and regain a sense of stability in their lives," Abdul Rashid Khan, a resident said—(KNO)
