*Deputy Commissioner Rajouri visits Parisha, emphasises : Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today paid a visit to Parisha Rajouri to review its functioning and interact with the students.

During the interaction, the DC encouraged the students to remain focused on their studies and assured them of all possible support from the District Administration in achieving their aspirations. He also took stock of the facilities being provided to the children and underlined the importance of creating a supportive environment for their overall development.

Furthermore, the DC directed the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to conduct frequent visits to the institution. He stressed the need for regular counselling and guidance sessions for the children, adding that such efforts are vital for building confidence among the students and equipping them to pursue their goals effectively.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also celebrated the birthday of a student with the children, spreading joy and encouragement among them. In addition, a girl suffering from hearing impairment was provided financial assistance of ₹10,000 from the District Red Cross account to support her studies.

DSWO Rajouri, Abdul Raheem, Chairperson CWC Preeti, CWC Member Shahzad Lone, TSWO, Superintendent Parisha Nusrat and other officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, tomorrow (16.09.2025) ONLY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC shall be permitted for LMVs from Jammu towards Srinagar and Districts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramaban on NH-44.

These vehicles shall be allowed from TCP Nagrota (Jammu) ONLY FROM 0600 HRS TO 1100 HRS.

However, No HMVs will be allowed from Jammu towards Mughal road.

*University Registrar delivers Lecture on Advancements in Foundation Engineering*

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 15: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) today celebrated Engineers’ Day with great fervor and enthusiasm to pay tribute to the legendary engineer and Bharat Ratna awardee, Sir M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.

On the occasion, a series of events were organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, including interactive sessions, lectures and discussions highlighting the contribution of engineers in nation-building and technological advancement.

Registrar BGSBU Abhishek Sharma also joined the celebrations and delivered a special lecture to the 7th semester Civil Engineering students, wherein he shared insights on professional ethics, innovation in engineering, and the importance of adopting modern practices to address contemporary challenges.

The Registrar encouraged the students to imbibe the spirit of dedication, creativity and problem-solving, which define the engineering profession. He stressed upon the role of young engineers in contributing to sustainable development and transforming society through innovation.

The faculty members appreciated the Registrar’s interaction with students, noting that such initiatives serve as a motivation for budding engineers to excel academically and professionally.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er. Vaseem Ahmed, HOD, Civil Engineering. He expressed gratitude to all participants and reiterated the university’s commitment to nurturing competent and socially responsible engineers.
